Showing gratitude is a mindset we all need to practice in our personal life and in business. Here are a few practical ways that gratitude can give entrepreneurs a competitive advantage:
Managing stress
Entrepreneurs live with a lot of stress, and we all know stress can have serious impacts.
Gratitude is a powerful force for supporting our physical and emotional health. Grateful people experience fewer aches and pains, and they are less impacted by negative emotions like envy, resentment, and frustration. They are also more emotionally resilient. Being grateful is an easy and positive way to counterbalance the many challenges that entrepreneurs face.
Networking and relationship building
Research has found that being grateful to someone is a wonderful way to make a positive first impression. Simply saying "thank you" or writing a short note of thanks to someone who did something nice for you makes that person much more likely to seek an ongoing relationship with you. It also increases the likelihood that the two of you will have a higher quality relationship.
This is an effective--and kind--way to break down barriers with new business acquaintances. And it can strengthen existing professional relationships with colleagues and partners as well.
Gaining and retaining customers
Gratitude has been linked with higher self-esteem and an increased sense of loyalty, both of which help turn new customers into repeat customers. Saying thank you is a simple way to make your customers feel great about purchasing your product or service.
Any time is a good time to begin practicing a little more gratitude.
Start a gratitude journal and record 3-5 things a day that you're thankful for. Make it a goal to express appreciation to at least two people each day. It won't take long before you begin to see and experience the resulting goodness.

Listen to what others have to say—friends, family, experts, even yourself. When it comes to things that have to do with your entrepreneurial goals, be a sponge. As you learn, start to work out the idea in your head. Write things down. Keep notes from all the resources you come across to develop a detailed plan.
Use who's around you for information. Watch Ted talks, listen to business podcasts, even speak to teachers.
Enroll in additional courses if you need more information about bookkeeping, marketing etc.
Ask questions, share your ideas and brainstorm with those in your circle. Encourage your listeners to be honest with you. The collective opinion you get from peers could be a reflection of how consumers will react.
Don’t ignore the power of advice from experts and veteran business owners. These folks know first-hand what does and doesn’t work. Smart entrepreneurs learn from the mistakes other business owners have made. Even though we still have to make our own mistakes to learn, but take what we can from others. Many entrepreneurs don't have a fear of sharing their failures as they know it was just a stepping stone in their journey. Listen closely to all stories.
We're here to keep you educated one random fact at a time ...sometimes we miss out on the fun part but it's still a fact 😅
There was a few more this episode since apparently and believe it's a competition

Countless people dream of becoming entrepreneurs, but they never do. They’re burdened with excuses and fears of failing. From money to time to responsibilities, you can make a million cases for not starting a business.
Worrying about the risks of business ownership is normal. What if situations and excuses only slow you down from reaching your goals. If you want to start a business, you need to address the reasons you think you can’t start a business and get rid of them. Find a solution to the issue rather than let it hold you back. Excuses are another roadblock, don't let them get in your way of success.
“We have more ability than willpower, and it is often an excuse to ourselves that we imagine that things are impossible.” ―François de la Rochefoucauld

If you don’t believe in yourself, who will?
Being successful means that you’ve learned to listen to your intuition and rely on your wisdom when making decisions.
Your ability to trust and believe in yourself will show your confidence. People are more likely to follow and trust confident leaders.
Trusting in your skills will also take some of the pain of uncertainty out of being an entrepreneur.
If you have moments of uncertainty, remember that you can learn and grow from them. Don't back peddle. Use your knowledge or research to help yourself get past that moment. Knowledge and experience are key to personal confidence.
There’s nothing wrong with asking for help when you need it or turning to a mentor for advice, but you also have to learn to trust yourself and your judgment without input from others.
Learn to trust yourself and you’re already starting down the path of success.
