The 2024 recipient of the Post 1 Colonel Larry Epstein Award, Rabbi [Colonel Ret.] Jacob Goldstein, a member of Post 1, was honored at a luncheon for his 38 years of service in the New York National Guard. Mazal tov!
In attendance were Post 1 members, patrons, and families. Post 1 Commander Edward Hochman presented Rabbi Goldstein with a framed certificate from the National Museum of American Jewish Military History.

Our Post 1 member Hannah Deutsch z"l passed away recently at the age of 101. Hannah was a native of Germany, a Holocaust survivor, and a WWII British Army veteran. Post 1 had the privilege of celebrating her 100th birthday with her in 2022. May her memory be a blessing and an inspiration.

The Post 1 Dining Out was a wonderful coming together of Jewish veterans and allies across New York City in community! We shared stories, saw old friends, and made new friends. We were honored to host JWV National Vice Commander and New Yorker Gary Ginsburg.

Congrats to the USMA Class of 2023! Post 1 attended the West Point Jewish Chapel Baccalaureate service on 25 May. Jewish War Veterans of the U.S.A. gifts a kiddish cup to each Jewish graduate.
Great Event during Fleet Week welcoming our Sailors to Jewish New York! We treated them to dinner at Mr. Broadway. Thanks to Fleet Week New York for organizing everything!
