January dump.
Are you doing your favorite activities for the new year already?
We all love the huge monument, the big city lights and the well preserved ruins but also the little corners, cheerful laughter and old colorful cars against these old buildings are the things I love most about Rome, makes it all magical
Feeling lighter and brighter, we are witnessing happier days and it’s all beautiful.
Stay connected to whatever brings out the best in you
passeggiate nella zona arancione
How the recent weather has most of us feeling.
On a brighter note, we “hope” to have most of the city open back from next week
We have been living on hope for a year+ now and we still keep riding
Parian marbled Discobolus of Castelporziano and it’s faithful replica, The Lancellotti Discobolus, better known as the discus thrower.
My favorite hypothesis of him is that he was a Spartan hero loved by Apollo and accidentally killed by him while practicing his discus-throwing
Still one of my favorites.
Mosaic floor with head of Medusa from the 1st/2nd century AD
Gian Lorenzo Bernini depicting the abduction of Proserpina, who is seized and taken to the underworld by the god Pluto.
Bernini’s son describes the sculpture as "an amazing contrast of tenderness and cruelty”
I describe it 2020/2021
If you found happiness before, you would find it again. Beautiful throwbacks in not so beautiful times
@ Rome, Italy
Every view is unique and great but the views from the top are always spectacular, different and rewarding.
This on is from Michelangelo’s dome
P.S do you know Michelangelo started the dome of the Vatican project at the age of 71? Nothing’s impossible if you are willing
Still on Raffaello...

HOW MUCH DO YOU KNOW ABOUT THE PANTHEON IN ROME? What is the Pantheon? The Pantheon is one of the most fascinating and mysterious buildings in Italy from the old Roman era. The word “Pantheon” is Greek that translates in English to mean “everything divine”. It was originally erected as a temple for the Roman gods between 25 and 27 B.C by Agrippa during the reign of Emperor Augustus in a location that Roman legends say Romulus, the founder of rome was seized by the eagles to the skies (what we know now as heaven) after death.
