Why I created Chapter Two.
As a young man growing up, my confidence was at an all time low.
I was working a job that I hated.
My card was declining in Iceland.
I hated the way I looked, I would side down twice a just so my arms could fill the sleeves.
I knew that I had potential and I had more to give, but I just could harness it.
Eventually, I fell into the gym, I made every mistake in the book, but finally began to see results.
This is where a totally new chapter began for me.
My body shape changed, I built over 45kg of lean muscle, I started wearing clothes I wanted to wear rather than the ones that I felt I had to wear to hide my frame.
My confidence grew hugely, I started taking every opportunity that came my way.
I started an exciting career which lead to me feeling more fulfilled then ever, I moved out of my home town into the house of my dreams and brought my dream car as a kid.
For me this feels personal.
For me, this was more than just building some muscle and losing some fat.
It was the opening of a new chapter where I could build a life on my terms and prioritise myself.
That’s exactly what the mission is of Chapter Two.

How successful and proud of yourself you feel matters.
For years you have swept your health and fitness goals under the rug to focus on building your career, your social life and partner.

Cheat meals don’t exist
The minute you label a food as “bad” or a “cheat”, is the minute you say goodbye to your fat loss goals forever.
Fat loss is an infinite game - you don’t win fat loss
The idea is to stay - not fat - for life…
By labelling it as a “cheat” it suggest you can’t have it, which breeds restriction, which create an unsustainable cycle.

1. It’s a maths game
Once you know how much you need to eat, the focus shifts from “hopeful” to a matter of time.
Start with a calorie calculator online
2. More isn’t better
Your body isn’t designed to lose fat, it’s designed to survive.
Aim to do as little as possible to see results, as your body begins to plateau, this gives you a bigger run way to make changes.
What worked in week 1 will not work by week 12.
3. Cardio is a tool
If you’ve got a food orientated social life, add extra cardio to offset more food.
If you’ve got a low appetite and less time, eat less and ditch the cardio.
There’s no template approach.
Is getting shredded worth it?
I recently lost 30kg for a photoshoot, here’s the lesson it taught me…
Here’s what I took from the experience:

Matt’s fat loss phase complete…🎯
I am absolutely buzzing for this legend.
We’ve lost well over 12kg, through social events, weekends away, injuries, the like.
Seeing Matt’s journey from lacking direction, structure and results to becoming an absolute machine has been nothing but inspiring.
We’ve wrapped up our fat loss phase with Matt seeing his abs for the first time, we’re now moving into his first structured muscle building phase where we are looking at filling out the arms and shoulders specifically.
With his wedding in August, I am unbelievably grateful and proud to be a part of Matt’s incredible journey to get him feeling 10/10 on his big day.

How do I want to live > How I live right now
Too many men are living just “in the now”
The focus on instant gratification is what kills your future self
Valuing how you feel in the moment, more than how you will feel tomorrow.
Having another takeaway when you are tired, rather than valuing how you will feel afterwards.
Wasting more money on crazy heavy weekends, relying on drinks to have a good time, rather than truly connecting with those around you.
Valuing how tired you feel in-the-moment after work, rather than how much more energised you could feel if you felt more confident about how you looked.
It’s these decisions where you value how you feel in the moment over your future self that cause the disconnect between the kind of man that you want to be.
You could be the man who has infectious energy levels and uplifts those around you.
Or you could continue to feel lethargic.
You could feel proud and truly confident in how you look.
Or you could continue to divert attention away from your fitness and continue to cover up this summer.
If you want to have something you have not got, you need to do something that you are not doing.
Start acting in accordance with the man that you want to be, rather than the one that you are right now.
That’s where change happens.
Life Changing Transformation
We have got huge plans for Jack and his fitness goals.
He joined me completely new to training, having hardly trained and no knowledge of nutrition.
He found his work was leading his life, his energy levels were down after a long day at work, meaning he never had the energy levels or motivation he needed to take action.
As a result he was at an all-time high bodyweight, hated the way his clothes looked and he had absolutely no direction.
We gave Jack the clarity, structure and accountability he needed to transform his physique.
Jack’s lost over 20kg, he’s flipped his lifestyle on its head and now lives and breathes fitness.
