Andreas is regarded as a gifted purist and a meticulous technician, deeply aware of his environment and the world around him. At Czamillonberg in South Styria, he and his wife Elisabeth cultivate vinophile artifacts made of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Muscat. His cult classics, such as Blue Dragonfly, Salamander, and Stag Beetle, are among the most sought-after wines in the scene and captivate a rare energy.

Pour Toi — Champagne for the truth seekers 🥂
Meet Timothée Stroebel, who puts the brand-marked Champagne region into a new light and belongs to the most progressive family-run estates. In just a few years, he has become one of the brightest stars in the Premier Cru village of Villers-Allerand in Montagne de Reims where he produces outstanding, lush champagnes with a strong character that are second to none.⭐️
Pour Toi is a relatively new cuvée produced of a blend of vintages from 2017 and 2018, consisting of the classic varieties Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. In all of his champagnes, Timothée aims for long ageing on the lees in used barriques, resulting in a slightly oxidative, fruit-driven champagne style, yet always finely chiselled with a vibrant acidity. Bisquit, burnt sugar with baked apples and pears. Long-lasting with a juicy creamy finish. 🤤

But fear not, we’re here to demystify them. Ever wondered what exactly natural wine is, how it’s crafted, and where it’s headed? Well, let’s jump into the rabbit hole and uncover the secret sauce!
Over the course of the next weeks, we’ll sip, chat, and, most importantly, have lot’s of fun as we explore the world of natural wine. Everyone is welcome and no question is wrong or remains unanswered! :)

Complex and fine-meshed, the acidity always finely chiselled. In our Rich & Deep category, yet airy, lively, luminous, it becomes more hypnotic after a while. The play with oxidation, blind in the Jura? Grüner Veltliner can do it.

As 2023 draws to a close, we find ourselves feeling reflective — a year that has shaped and inspired us in many ways.
Over two dynamic years, we turned uncertainties into opportunities, and transformed Drops into a growing community for making serious natural wine approachable. You, our customers —many of whom have become cherished friends along the way—have been a big part of this journey, and we want to say a heartfelt thanks for sticking with us and the ongoing support.
A very special highlight was the launch of our own wine project: .disco, a winery in motion. In collaboration with the most ambitious natural wine producers, we create limited editions, including our debut: Laser & Cream, in collaboration with Adriana & Martin .
Finally, we would like to thank you for your trust, your support and the many inspiring moments this year. We look forward to what awaits us all in 2024 as we continue to thrive for a contemporary, open wine culture.

Rollaball 2022:
Salty strawberries with peppery rosehip? Oh yes! Rollaball is Tom's energetic rosé that puts a grin on our faces and elevates every Christmas dinner. Super juicy, slightly fizzy and with a serious fun factor!
French Disko 2022:
Natural wine Championsleague: French Disko is multicomplex with bright red fruits and mediterranean spices, rich in flavour and tension in the usual Matassa drinking flow. A ground-shaking Cinsault from another star.
Tattouine 2022:
Energetic blend of 50/50 Grenache Noir and Grenache Gris from very old vines. Rosé? Red wine? The radiant colour almost jumps out of the glass. Like a highly animating strawberry-grapefruit-pepper mix! Tattouine is the complex evolution of Brutal! and has completely enchanted us.

Girotondo Rosso 2022:
Like a perfume: juicy, dark sour cherries and plenty of spice almost leap out of the glass - wow! 95% Sangiovese with 5% Garnacha Blanca fermented as whole bunches and matured in cement tanks. Clean, straight and full of energy, tastes like pure Italy, without the alcoholic opulence, of course.
Forestieri 2021:
Sangiovese. Tuscany. Bella Italia. The richer evolution of the Girotondo Rosso. We love this style of red wine. Silky & Deep. Old bush vines on volcanic soils, high in the Alta Maremma. Bursting with energy and tension. Salute to the Forestieri's and the new wine style in the old fashioned Tuscany.

Liquid gold or spiritual ecstasy: the wines from Božidar Zorjan take many forms 🍷⚡️🌈
There are many winegrowers in Slovenia with an organic label, but only a handful do not take shortcuts. Božidar Zorjan stands among them, crafting liquid gold in its unadulterated form. His wines are the pinnacle of quality and authenticity—a testament to holistic farming, nature, and avant-garde winemaking.
Amber revolution! Amphora wines of the highest quality 🏺
Bozo started making amphora wine back in the 1980s, then gradually became more radical and is now firmly convinced that you can't be a biodynamic winemaker if you don't have animals on the farm. Chardonnay, Muskat Ottonel, Laski Rizling (Welschriesling) and Renzki Rizling (Riesling) are fermented as whole bunches in amphorae for one year and then matured for another two years in amphorae in a 400 year old cellar. The results are highly complex, silky fine orange wines that are bursting with vitality and tension.
Rich & Deep orange wines, which span its flavour profile across the spectrum. 🌈
For all skin contact lovers and those who like to experiment, Bozo’s wines are unique as it gets, and an absolute must-try. From spicy to floral, mineral and highly aromatic: they boast a concentrated load of flavours, while being relentless and ever-evolving.

Thomas Straka stands for the new, modern Burgenland — light-footed, hedonistic, and yet always structured. The Blaufränkisch Grünschiefer 2020 comes from 20 to 40 old vines, rooted on green slate, a typical soil in the Southern Burgenland region in the village of Rechnitz. Thomas ferments and ages in large neutral wooden barrels, because the grapes should set the tone and not the wood. Fragrant sour cherries and blackberries, rounded off with subtle, smoky and peppery notes. A juicy, crisp Blaufränkisch that stands for the new, modern Burgenland!
Aged Pinots from Bergland, Carinthia — the Austrian wine region you probably never heard of ⛰️💡🇦🇹
Nestled amidst the alps, between ancient pear trees and a unique microclimate at the Lake Läng just north of Klagenfurt, Uta Slamming and Marcus Gruze produce superbly complex, savoury and cool-climate wines of another dimension. 👅💎
Reminiscent of wines from Jura or Burgundy, the very long ageing on the lees reveals the DNA of this place in a magnificent way — discover wines from vintage 2013, 2015 and 2017 and get reminded that natural wine can just age perfectly. 💜

🍇 Girotondo Rosso 2022 🍇 Alta Maremma, Tuscany 🇮🇪
Fragrant like a perfume, crunchy sour cherries and peppery spices jump out of the glass. Present and inviting. Silky yet present tannins, always elegant, never too much. 95% of Sangiovese with 5% Garnacha Blanca as whole cluster fermentation results in a light-footed red wine with tension and balance.
Salute to Forestieri, which create a contemporary wine style in the old fashioned Tuscany — fresh and energetic, and yet always Italian.

Welcoming Forestrieri: new-school Tuscany from the hills of Alta Maremma 👨🏼🌾👨🏼🌾🇮🇹
In the bars of Roccatederighi, non-locals are affectionately called "forestieri". This poetic term unites Dario from Pisa and Ezequiel, who comes from Argentina, who met a few years ago and started to revive old, abandoned vineyards in the picturesque Maremma, in the Tuscan hills - far away from the clichés of cypress trees.
Where dusty paths wind through the fragrant macchia and lead to chestnut forests, Dario and Ezequiel patiently vinify the new style of Tuscany: light-footed, energetic, and far away from over extracted jams. With it’s beautiful permaculture in place, they capture the true essence of the Alta Maremma and are lucky to work with very old vines of Sangiovese, Trebbiano, Malvasia, Ciliegiolo, and other rare indigenous and unknown varieties which grow in the same rows - a lively mix, typical of non-intensive land use. 🍇
The terroir on the Alta Maremma is a treasure trove of diversity, thanks to its various geological variations from volcanic rocks such as rhyolite and basalt to sandstone, marl and granite. The numerous small, scattered vineyards, ranging from 200 to 600 metres, provide them a rich selection of different grape varieties and soils. 🌿🍃🌾
This mix of permaculture you can also taste in the wines: they’re utterly fragrant and expressive, the bouquet literally jumps out of the glass, always underlined with a layer of fine spices amongst herbaceous notes which makes wines from Tuscany so exiting 😍🍷

💚 Welcome Mira Brunn Grüner Veltliner 2021 💚 – gastronomy only
During our visit at a few weeks ago, we were lucky enough to receive a small allocation from a recently unknown wine.
Coming from 70 year old vines from the cru plot Edelbrunn on shist and limestone, this Grüner Veltliner demonstrates a strikingly saline & herbal expression compared to its fruity colleagues in the Wachau or Kamptal.
An interesting addition for Jura wine enthusiasts as it showcases a quite unique, slightly oxi style of the Leithaberg slopes at the northern part of Lake Neusiedl, Burgenland.

Burgenland Nouveau! Andreas cultivates a sinful hedonism with a stylish touch. Fresh, cool and casual, just like Andi himself!
Located at the beautiful Lake Zick, at the flattest point in Austria and just before the border to Hungary, past famous wineries like Heinrich, Tschida and Co., one of Burgenlands rising talents Andreas Ziniel shakes up the wine scene. A usually sun-drenched, hot and dry region where grape varieties like the local hero St. Laurent, Zweigelt and some Muskateller really feel at home and thrive. As the sun slowly set on the horizon during our visit earlier this year, we realised why.
Careful: delicious thirst quenchers that will make your palates sing. 🍷
On chalky gravel soils that provide the backbone for Andi's work, he organically cultivates wines that are deep, cool, fresh and aromatic, with a remarkable vibrancy and energy in this quite hot region. Every sip is like a celebration, full of verve on the lively side. In fact, it's easy to get carried away and lose track of time.

Introducing Karl Schnabel: Vibrant & Puristic Natural Wines from South Styria 🍇🇦🇹
Karl and his wife Eva are true originals. When we visited them in December, it was clear that their approach to winemaking is not about following any trends, but about sustainability, conscious consumption, and honesty as they view wine as a cultural asset — which shapes their low intervention philosophy in the vineyards. 🌱
Inspired by a trip to Burgundy in the 1990s and their shared love for Pinot Noir, Eva and Karl revived their parents 6ha vineyard named Ermihof and planted - against the Styrian mainstream - mostly red varieties like Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch and Pinot Noir, using strict biodynamic principles in their cultivation. 🍇
Karl describes his wines as "jazz-like", not as bold as wines from limestone, but more delicate and focused, showcasing the unique mineral character of the barren slate soils in their picturesque Hochegg and Koregg vineyards. 🌞
So, how do these wines taste?👅🍷
The Reds are silky & deep, pure mineral and red-floral masterpieces, reminiscent of wines from Northern Burgundy. Karl's skin contact wines, made from Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, are panoramic and uplifting, with a complex blend of ripe peaches, sun-kissed citrus fruits, and hints of lemon balm and chamomile. In short, they are multi-dimensional on the palate with a loooong finish. 🤤✨

Balance, depth, energetic tension. With every sip when enjoying their wines, you feel that Adriana and Martin do not rush their wines. On the contrary: each one gets the time it needs before being bottled and that brings out the very best in any of their wines.

Stylistically, it is reminiscent of Jura wines: totally straight with enormous tension and oxidative, sherry-like hints, very unique for Pinot Blanc. It has a good pull and a complex aroma. Elegant and freaky!
🍷 Leithaberg Weiß 2021
Neuburger has become really rare, but find's on pure lime stone an exciting home. Fine-meshed, slightly creamy and ultra elegant with chalky mineral reverberation. Absolutely top!
🍷 Bubbles Pet Nat 2020
Finest bubbles: a Blaufränkisch Pet Nat with animating grip, juiciness and above all super fun factor. Currants and citrus fruits in a rendezvous along with fine a perlage.
🍷 Muschelkalk Weiß 2021
Absolute entry level banger, Martin and Adriana cultivate a delicious wine for little money. Wonderfully fresh, animating and quite some length.
