Light trails... because they're always fun to capture
Spotted a nice wee composition from out the window last night and thought that it would be ideal for doing some light trails. Only issue was the cars were about an hour apart going in either direction so a lot of patience was required. The joys of living on a quiet road!

2nd night of trying to capture this shot and the perseverance paid off. Had a few issues with the lens misting up on the first night and again last night but managed to get it clear for the camera to take around 120 shots to make up the star trails

Late night post... I went out to look for owls and came up empty. However I did manage to get some astro shots done, every cloud and all that! I'll post the finished results soon.
A couple of new paintings done as well which I'll be posting soon as well! Hopefully get back into making (semi)regular posts soon!

A different view of the waterfall from a few weeks ago. Could've happily stood and taken photos of it all day. Looking forward to going back once the leaves on the trees are all out!

I came across 'twa maukin' (hares) and they were dancing and playing with each other. Standing perfectly still, they didn't seem to notice me at all, this one came within about 15 metres of me. It was an experience I won't forget soon!

What to say about this one... I just had a feeling as soon as I hit the shutter that it was just going to work out. The sun was in the perfect place to light up the waterfall, the water was just flowing perfectly. Definitely one of my favourite images I've ever taken.

This is made up of 6 separate photos. 2x sets of bracketed exposure photos (3 in each) merged together to make a top and bottom panorama

Roe Deer Buck showing off his new antlers!
Spring time and the roe deer buck has shed the velvety coating to reveal his new antlers. Roe bucks lose their antlers in October with the new ones beginning to grow towards the end of November. In March or April the velvet coating that covers them comes away to reveal the new antlers. These are used in the rutting season, which for roes takes place in mid-July to mid-August, followed by a long courtship period. Any kids can be expected around May. If we're lucky, they might appear on the camera at some point!

Something a little different to the usual badger videos, but a lovely animal to see anyway. Roe Deer are very shy creatures and it's nice to be able to see one up close like this.

Evening All!
Apologies I've not posted any of these sooner, I've been pretty busy over the last few weeks working on some other things. I've got about 200 videos of what the badgers have been up to and I'm pleased to say they've been very active!
Keep your eyes out for a video later on this evening and then I'll continue to post a video on a (nearly) daily basis so you can get your daily badger (or other wildlife) fix!
In the mean time, stay safe and watch out for more content coming very very soon!

Hi everyone, GOOD NEWS!
The badgers have been out badgering around a lot over the last week. There's also been some fox activity as well. From close-ups, to play fighting- they have been pretty busy animals. Here's a wee sneak preview of some footage while I sort through the 60 odd videos that have been collected over the last 7 days, enjoy!
Feel free to come up with names for these two as well!

Camera all set up and ready to see what wildlife will be out and about over the next few weeks! All going well there'll be some footage to share in the next wee while so keep your eyes out for that!
Also (weather dependent), I'm hoping to create a new video later on this week on some astrophotography that you can do using the Pro settings on a phone camera and then compare that to shooting on a DSLR camera. It's quite amazing what a modern phone can achieve. Hoping for some nice clear skies for that so stay tuned.

New wildlife vlog! Introducing you all to a small area near me that is quite abundant with wildlife (none make an appearance quite yet... just wild me). Fingers crossed in the next few weeks there will be some exciting footage from the camera trap to share with you all!
