Did you know shea butter is derived from nuts? It’s so you can eat it. Often a nutty smell is accompanied into this product and the hue of the shea butter may be a bit darker in color, this is how you can identify raw unrefined shea butter (the best kind). Refined shea butter will be bleached and completely white, however this process removes all the nutrients, taking away the healthy benefits. 💛💛

Hey hey!
Time for a little introduction, for those of you who don’t know me I am Maddie and I am the Queen Bee, behind Bee Butter Balm. From melting and cleaning wax, to measuring ingredients and designing graphics and labels I do it all! And minus the measurements (I despise numbers) I LOVE it all! 💛🐝

My inspiration for Bee Butter Balm came from my own struggle finding a chapstick that actually worked and didn’t leave me with even drier lips, and waxy or sticky feelings. I took note of different brands and what I didn’t like. For example, brands like EOS, and Carmax would give me only temporary relief. As soon as the chapstick absorbed I found my lips burning and looking like I had clown lips! 🤡 Even Burts Bees wasn’t all that “natural” I always felt an almost waxy texture after application.

After comparing brands and doing a little research I determined the best recipe for chapstick that WORKS. I kept it simple only using three raw ingredients- shea butter, coconut oil, and of course beeswax. These properties together created the perfect combination for a chapstick that would leave your lips soft, nourished, and pigmented.

Like I said your, lips are going to thank me... 💋
