What were some of the most frustrating questions you were asked on a written exam or checkride?
Heres the "short story" on how I got my pilots license medical after failing the color vision test, and got it without a color vision restriction and became a pilot all the way to Flight Instructor.
----------
I had a restriction when I first got my medical in 2015 that stated "not valid for solo night flight or by light gun signal" the reason was failing this color vision test I posted earlier called the ishihara test. I went out on my own to research ways to get this restriction lifted and found that I can either take another FAA approved color vision test or get a Letter of Demonstration by someone from the FSDO. (to get info on a LOD, stay tuned for post) I found another test called the FARNSWORTH LANTERN TEST (Youtube link attahced) and passed this test instead. Farnsworth Latern tests can be difficult to find in your area, so research if your eye doctor has one. After that I had my restrictions lifted with a class one medical.
