About the artists: GARRIN BENFIELD (@garrinbenfield) Brooklyn and Hillsdale, NY-based singer songwriter Garrin Benfield has released five full length albums and has been touring nationally since 2000. Employing live looping, Garrin improvises rhythmic jams and soundscapes that emerge organically from his own original songs and eclectic covers. He has collaborated and played with Boz Scaggs, Dan Bern, and Bonnie Raitt’s band, among many others. LEAH GUADAGNOLI / FANCY FEAST SUPPER CLUB (@lavenderladysupreme) Fancy Feast Supper Club is a creative dinner series organized by artist, chef, and homesteader Leah Guadagnoli. We are honored to be teaming up with Won Dharma Center (@wondharmacenter), who will be generously providing soup for the second installment of our Melting Pot: Soup and Singalong series. This week, Saturday Dec 9, held INSIDE the church at 369 Warren Street, Phil Roebuck will take us through a treasure trove of hymns, spirituals, and folk medleys. That same night, catch Phil at TSL (@tsl_hudson) performing with Lila Blue (@lilabluemusic) and Saskia Lane (@supersaskia). At Won Dharma Center, there are many ongoing, community focused events. Don’t miss their Wednesday meditation session, and settle into the quiet yin energy of the evening through chi-gon. Additionally, they will be leading a Christmas eve morning service at the center!
Our first installment of The Melting Pot: Soup and Singalong Saturdays was a huge success! Thank you to all who came out, sang a tune or two, and partook in some delicious homemade soup.
