Cerro Negro is a uniquely Mediterranean wine made from 100% Mencía. Grown at 1000m altitude in DO Valencia, this wine is aromatic, fresh, incredibly well-balanced, and makes for a perfect food pairing red. Made by Nito and Francisco at Balvodar 923 - the name comes from the altitude of the vineyards - who are working with native grapes and low-intervention winemaking.

And, of course, to for presenting a selection of his locally made (and delicious) natural wines.

One of the winners at our private tasting for a lovely group of ladies over from the UK celebrating a 50th birthday. La Nave from is a firm Winderlust fave, and we love it when it gets new fans.
The red wine drinkers of the group loved it, but so did those who normally choose a white, especially in this weather 🌞 Served chilled. If you've not tried much Mencía, this will surely convert you to this beautiful grape.

Had to do a double take at this bottle, but we promise it's not tequila, it's not whiskey. It is, in fact, a stunning barrel aged Verdejo from Rodriguez and Sanzo. Aged in sherry casks under flor, this is Verdejo like you've never had it before!
🍇 🇪🇸
Benje Tinto is made from old vines grown on volcanic soils in the western part of Tenerife. Made using a variety of local grapes. Aged for eight months in a mixture of concrete & French oak, bottled unfined & unfiltered. Juicy cherry strawbery and pink peppercorns. Light and fresh.

You know that we love orange wine around here, and we know that orange wines can be a bit of a crowd divider. Before you make your mind up, give this beauty from a chance. The first orange wine to have the Rueda D.O. is a delightful blend of Verdejo and Viognier. The wine has an intense floral nose with notes of dried fruits and citrus. Fans of both orange wine and Viognier will love it! It is perfect for summer.

Keeping it local with this from Bodegas Sanchez Rosado - a local winery set at an altitude of 300 meters, between the Guadalhorce Valley and the Sierra Llana in Cártama. Aged for 18 months in French oak, this is a lovely balanced red with ripe red fruits and a touch of mocha and black pepper. Rounded, medium body, and balanced acidity.

Life is a Cabernet! Or is it Chardonnay?

In this tasting we will get to know this lesser known region through...
3 whites, 3 reds, 3 artisan cheeses, sunshine & stories.
Sunday 9th June, 4pm, Villa Antumalal, 29016, Malaga.

Thrilled to find that a Sauvignon Blanc dulce has sprouted just in time for tomorrow's Rueda tasting.
This one is going to be special. From a region we've long associated with fairly simple and fresh Verdejo's, we've searched far and wide for wines that are pushing the boundaries of what Rueda can produce. If you want to join us tomorrow, make sure you book those tickets tonight! Available through the website.
