🚨 NEW PARTNER ALERT! 🚨

Dr. Megan Morgan and Amanda were invited into Broad River Animal Hospital for the first time recently and the team was so friendly and welcoming! πŸŽ‰

Sweet little Izzy has been experiencing diarrhea, and using her Endoscopy equipment, Dr. Morgan performed a diagnostic endoscopy procedure to investigate further.

πŸ₯VetMed Fact: Diagnostic endoscopy is a minimally invasive tool that can be used to visualize the inside of the GI Tract to look for signs of ulcers, foreign material, masses, or changes to the tissue that would suggest underlying disease like Inflammatory Bowel Disease.

Thank you for giving Dr. Morgan the opportunity to participate in the care of your patients! We look forward to collaborating again in the near future! ✨

🚨 NEW PARTNER ALERT! 🚨

Dr. Morgan and Amanda were invited into Snowflake Pet Center for the first time recently and the team was so welcoming! This cute face belongs to Gus, and he needed some assistance from Team Connecticut because he had a bone lodged in his esophagus (throat) for several days.

While anesthesia is still required, endoscopy allows for a minimally invasive option to retrieve items that shouldn't have been ingested or happen to get stuck. Endoscopy avoids more serious complications that can be encountered with surgery, and the recovery is minimal (patients are typically back to normal within a few hours)! Unfortunately, not all items can be removed with endoscopy, but if your pet ingested something it shouldn't have, please ask about this alternative option.

Using their KARL STORZ endoscopy equipment, we are thrilled to report Dr. Morgan and Amanda were able to successfully retrieve the bone. We hope Gus will be feeling better soon, and MOVES truly appreciates having been given the opportunity to participate in his care! We look forward to collaborating again in the near future! πŸΎπŸŽ‰πŸ’œπŸΆ

From serious kitties to goofball doggos, we get quite a variety at High Ridge Animal Hospital. πŸ˜πŸ‘

First we saw Simfa, a serious yet sweet 14-yr-old kitty, for recurrent urinary tract infections. Don't mind the stink eye she's giving us in this photo πŸ˜‰, she was very good for her imaging.

Then met this sweet girl Brindle, a 6-yr-old female Boxer, to screen for any signs of cancer. Luckily, we did not find anything scary! πŸŽ‰πŸΎ

We'd love to give a huge shoutout to Dr. Shattuck, Dr. Murphy, Dr. Standish, and the entire team at High Ridge Animal Hospital - they are amazing!

Dr. Morgan and Adrienne met this handsome devil, Pippin Pierre, at New Canaan Veterinary Hospital. This sweet boy is 16 years young 🀩 but has been suffering from a decreased appetite and lethargy. Dr. Schaefler asked Dr. Morgan to consult and perform an abdominal ultrasound to further investigate.

We loved getting to see the whole team at New Canaan Veterinary Hospital, and always appreciate the opportunity to participate in the care of their beloved patients! 🐾❀️🐱

Team Connecticut was invited to High Ridge Animal Hospital to meet Dixie!

Dixie has a history of numerous medical conditions including, progressive chronic renal (or kidney) disease, a gall bladder mucocele (thickened sludge in her gall bladder), and elevated liver enzymes. After receiving treatment from her primary care veterinarian, DIxie had a recheck ultrasound with our team.

With the findings of her imaging, Dr. Morgan was able to determine if Dixie was on the best treatment plan or if changes need to be made.

NEW PARTNER ALERT! 🚨

Dr. Morgan & Adrienne were invited into the Cat Clinic for the first time recently and the team was so welcoming! Team Connecticut met Calvin, who has been suffering from bladder stones despite his urinary-specific diet. An abdominal ultrasound was performed to further investigate. This procedure also allowed Dr. Morgan to safely retrieve a urinary sample for more extensive testing.

Thank you for inviting MOVES into your hospital, and for allowing Dr. Morgan to participate in the care of your patients! We look forward to collaborating again in the near future!

AristoKatz called Dr. Morgan & Adrienne out to perform an upper GI endoscopy procedure on Brutus, an 11-year old DMH who has been suffering from weight loss & vomiting.

Biopsies of his stomach and small intestines were obtained and sent off to Eastern VetPath for further information. In the midst of obtaining biopsies, a trichobezoar was discovered & successfully removed. πŸ₯³

πŸ“šVetMed Fact: Trichobezoars or 'hair balls' are concretions of hair within the gastrointestinal tract. While most kitties can eliminate the Trichobezoars on their own, they have been known to cause intestinal obstructions.

High Ridge Animal Hospital called Dr. Morgan & Adrienne out to see Nemo, an 11-year old Shih Tzu with a recent history of azotemia.

πŸ“š VetMed Fact: Azotemia is an increase in the blood urea nitrogen (BUN) and creatinine, found in the blood stream. These two proteins are associated with the kidneys and suggest they aren't working properly. We can see azotemia with kidney infections, kidney stones, toxins, and age related kidney disease (to name just a few).

In addition to a sweet patient, our team also enjoyed a batch of sweet cookies! Thank you, High Ridge Animal Hospital, for your continued partnership. We truly enjoy the opportunity to care for your patients.

Team Connecticut loved all 100 pounds of Coby, the Golden Retriever. They visited Community Veterinary Clinic to perform an abdominal ultrasound, after his primary care veterinarian discovered a tumor on his right ear.

By performing this scan, Dr Morgan was able to rule out any signs of the tumor spreading (metastasis) to his abdominal cavity. This is great news for Coby & his family! πŸ™Œ

Meet Snoopy!

Dr. Morgan & Adrienne saw this adorable 1-year old Maltese pup at High Ridge Animal Hospital. Snoopy's primary care veterinarian, Dr. Shattuck, was concerned about elevated liver values found on his routine pre-neuter bloodwork so Team Connecticut performed an abdominal ultrasound.

It was no surprise that Snoopy loved to be held ❀️

Dr. Morgan & Adrienne visited Danbury Animal Hospital/Versatile Vets to see Mookie, a beautiful Siamese cat. Mookie suffers from chronic vomiting, and an abdominal ultrasound was performed to further investigate his symptoms.

Using the results from his imaging, Dr. Morgan was able to recommend the next best steps in Mookie's treatment.

We will be closed on May 30, 2022 in observance of Memorial Day!

Meet Rascal Jones, a 3-year old Maine C**n who has a history of chronic vomiting. Team Connecticut visited AristoKatz and performed an abdominal ultrasound to further investigate the cause for his symptoms.

Rasal Jones was such a good boy his imaging, laying perfectly still the entire time! Dr. Morgan will use the results from the ultrasound to provide this sweet boy's care team & family with a solution for his vomiting.
