Acceptable Words Logo Tote 14/12/2022

It's probably not as fancy as one of those totes you get from NPR or The New Yorker, but you'll be supporting a more worthy cause.

Join me as I talk with UMC Pastor Rev. Rian Lewis as we talk about what it means for us to be theologically conservative pastors while serving in denominations that drift toward the left.

29/11/2022

What's it like being a conservative pastor in a predominantly liberal denomination? Well... I've got my own thoughts, and so does my guest this Friday, Rev. Rian Lewis! Join us live this Friday around 11:30 AM (Central Standard Time) for a discussion how to faithfully serve God in a denominational context that doesn't always reflect biblical morals and values.

Bird is the Word, and Musk is the Future: A Response to Sean Palmer 27/11/2022

The platform that censored The Babylon Bee for “hate speech” and many other conservative voices seems to now be getting its comuppance... Is Elon Musk's acquisition of Twitter a good thing? Who knows? But one thing is for certain: it's hilarious!

Bird is the Word, and Musk is the Future: A Response to Sean Palmer Is Elon Musk's aquisition of Twitter a good thing? Maybe, Maybe not. Who knows? I don't have a clue, but neither does Sean Palmer.

S3E15 - Pronouns, Pal! A Response and Encouragement to Alex Daily

I respond to Alex Daily about a TikTok video that he made about how he used people's "preferred pronouns" and why he no longer does so.

EDIT: The portion of this video where I play Alex Daily's video is muted (probably through my own error. It's hard being your own producer.) However, the full audio that includes the audio from Alex Daily's video will be available when the audio from the podcast drops on Monday. So, look for that on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, or wherever you prefer to listen to your podcasts.

I will cover the various responses to the book from Reformed Baptist pastor Josh Sommer and Catholic Thomist scholar Edward Feser. S3E10 - Brian Sauvé, Twitter Theology, and The Passion Translation

I’ll also finish out the episode talking about the dangers of the Legacy Standard Bible.

The NAMB of the SBC are encouraging southern pastors to lose their southern accents so that they can be all things to all men, but is this really neccesary? Also, why is it still cool to take shots at Russell Moore, and what will be the new trend among 'Bapdis'?

S3E3 - Sermon: Our Mandate for Ministry by The Monday Morning Megaphone 08/11/2021

New episode!

On our last episode of The Monday Morning Megaphone, my wife brought up the sermon that I preached at the 2019 Spring Meeting of the Arkansas Presbytery of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. I thought I would take this opportunity to share that sermon with you. I was very honored to have been pastor of a church that was willing to host the presbytery meeting at this time, and I was even more honored to have been asked to preach at this meeting. This was a timely message that the Lord gave me, and I pray that this will be heard as a cry for the authority of Scripture in the life of the Church.
