A few people asked us if next year we could move “A Santa Like Me” more inner city. We decided we wouldn’t wait until next year as it is our mission to cater to our community as much as possible. With that being said, join us this Sunday from 1pm-5pm at 901 N. Tryon Suite E for our 3rd annual “A Santa Like Me.” In efforts to lead by example and teach young people the importance of giving back, have them bring a gift for an underprivileged child & have them take pictures with their very own BLACK SANTA. For this competition aspiring young stylists are being granted creative freedom and the task of creating a hairstyle that incorporates a theme of their choice. Competitors may draw inspiration from culture, art, music, and even their peers. Competitors will be judged based on theme, originality and their ability to incorporate their theme into a complete look and award winning hair style.

- The Mane Attraction
From music, to fashion, and hair; the 90s played a pivotal role in Black Culture. This competition pays homage to iconic 90’s hairstyles. Stylists will showcase their talents by re-creating a 90’s hairstyle using MOST of their model’s natural hair; and will be judged based on their creativity and ex*****on of style.

- Queen of the Crown
For this competition, stylists will awaken their imaginations with the use of design and materials to create crowns. Designed for the stylist that wants to take hair art to another level; these pieces must be mostly constructed from hair. Artistic creativity is essential for a winning placement in this competition.
