Riverview Baseball Players Named to All-Section Team! Congratulations to Riverview Baseball players Eli DeVita, Jack Loughren, Rece Stempfer and Tyler Aftanas for being named to the WPIAL All-Section Team! In addition, Eli DeVita was named to the AK Valley First Team and Jack Loughren to the AK Valley Second Team! Way to go Raiders!!

Congratulations to Class of 2024 Riverview Graduate Lola Abraham on being named Gatorade's Pennsylvania Girls Soccer Player of the Year! What a tremendous honor!

During the week of June 10-13, Riverview rising sophomores Juliette Brun, Hannah Hudack, and Ryland Ogrodowski traveled to the University of Maryland to compete in the culminating step of the yearlong National History Day competition. They presented their senior group performance entitled "The Treaty that Built Europe" (a project about the Treaty of Westphalia in 1648) and became the first Riverview students ever to earn a callback for the final round at the national competition.

We are thrilled to report that Hannah, Juliette, and Ryland finished 6th in the ENTIRE country with their creative and "well-polished" performance. Congratulations ladies - the Riverview community is very proud of your accomplishment!

Raiders - We need your help!

Rising seniors Chris O'Toole and Holden Deasy have organized a silverware donation drive to benefit the Blessing Board with a goal of raising 2,025 pieces of silverware in recognition of their graduating class! You can drop off new or gently used silverware at the locations listed in the flyer.

Shout out to Chris and Holden for taking the lead on this unique way to help families in Allegheny County! 😄⚫🟡

We persisted through the rain for an incredible commencement ceremony that ended in a double rainbow! How fitting for this one-of-a-kind graduating class! Congratulations to the Class of 2024! 💛🖤🎓👩‍🎓🖤💛

Thanks to Valedictorian Charles Untalan and Salutatorian Lola Abraham for their inspiring speeches and tremendous work during their time with Riverview. In addition, we thank all of our wonderful staff and loved ones of our graduates for braving the weather and cheering them on throughout the evening!

RAIDERS, this is it! Tomorrow's the big day!

Not only is it our last day of school, it is the sendoff for our Class of 2024! 🤩

So, here's what you need to know: Students will be dismissed early tomorrow. Jr-Sr High School students will be released at 11:08 AM, and elementary students at 11:48 AM. Lunch will be served.

Graduation is tomorrow, Thursday, June 6, at 7 PM at Riverside Park. The parade/car promenade will depart from the high school at 6:15 PM and pass through Verona and Oakmont. We look forward to seeing you there!

In the event of inclement weather, keep an eye on our social media and website for further details. Otherwise, we are set for an outdoor ceremony! We're almost there, Raiders! 😆⚫🟡🎓

Congratulations to our talented 2nd graders who participated in the annual Vocabulary Parade at Tenth Street Auditorium! We're always thrilled by the wonderful turnout from our families!

Signing Day was a family affair - not just for the loved ones of our Raiders, but for their classmates and teachers cheering them on! Congratulations to these talented student-athletes. We wish you all the success in your next chapter.

For the first time at Riverview, our graduating class held "Clap Out" ceremonies at Verner and Tenth Street Elementary! This special, full-circle event includes current Verner and Tenth Street students and staff celebrating seniors who roamed those same hallways a generation ago! Some elementary teachers couldn't contain themselves seeing their students all grown up! 🥺😭

Congratulations to Elise Bear, Bianca Chen, Natalie Kingera, Ruby LaBelle, Grace Landis, Nick Penkrot, and Rocco Brown, who comprised the group of talented Riverview students who recently competed at the state PJAS competition at Penn State. ALL of them won First Awards for their projects! You all continue to proudly represent our district with distinction!

On Friday, our Riverview Seniors had a blast at Riverside Park for the annual Senior Olympic Games! This tradition has students compete in groups for the ultimate bragging rights -- congrats to the "Super Seniors" for their win! Check out all the fun of this incredible class in one of their last gatherings before graduation!

School Physical

School Physical       School physical will take place Monday afternoon June 3, 2024, @ 3pm in the School Nurses office  

The 3rd Annual Girls Gala was a night to remember! Accompanied by an adult role model, girls in 4th, 5th, and 6th grades from Verner and Tenth Street dressed their best and danced away in the Riverview Jr-Sr High cafeteria! In addition to a raucous dancefloor, students were provided food and refreshments, a photo booth, and multiple chances at winning gift bags! 💃💅😍

Special thanks to Mrs. Kvortek and the students in her Sports, Arts & Entertainment Management classes who were INCREDIBLE emcees, hosts, and photo booth photographers for the evening! And thanks to the parents and role models who attended the festivities!

Over the Memorial Day weekend, players from our Raiders Football team paid their respects to fallen soldiers by planting flowers in their honor at the Oakmont Verona Cemetery. Many members of the team also marched in the local Memorial Day parade holding a banner with names of the fallen.

We’re proud of our Raiders for these acts of kindness and gratitude! Special thanks to Mr. George for inspiring our players to participate in this activity with the Oakmont Lions Club!
