FORGIVE ME, MOMMY 😢🐾…
I was there where you left me for two whole days. Sleeping right on the side of the road. I was terrified of the noise from the cars but I did not move.
Last night one of those cars stopped and she got out. She invited me to lunch but I said no. She invited me to come sleep at her house and I also said no. I tried to explain to her that I was waiting for you but she wouldn’t listen. She pulled out a leash and said I couldn’t stay there any longer. I bit her several times and ended up peeing on myself as I growled and cried! She didn’t understand that she was separating me from you! She took me against my will and we drove off! I was so sad because I knew you were going to be worried. We ended up at her house.
I kept screaming hoping you would hear me but you never came. I vomited because of my nerves, feeling so sick. I kept telling her I had to go back because you were going to think I abandoned you when you saw I wasn’t there! I, who love you with all my heart and soul have not stopped crying since we separated a few days ago. I want you to know, I would never do that to you.
I don’t know where you are now or why you stopped the car and left me there. Surely you had something very important to do. Can you come find me now, mommy?
Today I ate because my tummy was hurting. I also slept on a very soft bed. And unintentionally, I also moved my tail slightly. I apologize sincerely, please forgive me. She's incredibly kind to me. She mentioned I could remain here indefinitely. She's calling me Savannah, yet I already have a name. You can inform her of it when you come to collect me. You’ll see how surprised she’ll be when you explain to her that this was a big mistake.
Because mommy, you’re coming back for me, right 😢🐾?

The buffalo on Catalina Island are coming down and enjoying the beach 💚 due to the lack of people 😊 In the 1920's 14 bison came to Catalina Island for the filming of a feature film. They were allowed to stay and have become an integral part of Catalina Island. Now there are about 150
The bison were brought to Catalina Island for the production of The Vanishing American, the film version of Zane Grey's classic novel, released by the Lasky Film Corporation in 1925.

Did you know that if you put 100 black ants and 100 red ants in a jar, nothing will happen? But if you shake the jar hard, the ants start killing each other. The red ants consider the black ants their enemies, and the black ants consider the red ants their enemies. The true enemy is the one shaking the jar. The same thing happens in human society. So, before we attack each other, we should think about who is shaking the jar!

I am no longer waiting for a special occasion;
I burn the best candles on ordinary days.
I am no longer waiting for the house to be clean;
I fill it with people who understand that even dust is sacred.
I am no longer waiting for everyone to understand me; It’s just not their task
I am no longer waiting for the perfect children;
my children have their own names that burn as brightly as any star.
I am no longer waiting for the other shoe to drop;
It already did, and I survived.
I am no longer waiting for the time to be right;
the time is always now.
I am no longer waiting for the mate who will complete me;
I am grateful to be so warmly, tenderly held.
I am no longer waiting for a quiet moment;
my heart can be stilled whenever it is called.
I am no longer waiting for the world to be at peace;
I unclench my grasp and breathe peace in and out.
I am no longer waiting to do something great;
being awake to carry my grain of sand is enough.
I am no longer waiting to be recognized;
I know that I dance in a holy circle.
I am no longer waiting for forgiveness.
I believe, I believe.

This friend of mine named Anne Eunson, who lives in Hamnavoe in the Shetland Islands in Scotland, decided to weave herself a beautiful lace fence using strong black twine. The fence is knitted in the same type used to make fishing nets, and Anne Eunson knitted it using specially adapted curtain rods as needles.
Using 23 repetitions of a familiar Shetland lace pattern, it took her about three weeks to knit enough lace to surround her front yard.

Only women of a certain era will fully appreciate this.... True story.
A Michigan woman and her family were vacationing in a small New England town where Paul Newman and his family often visited.
One Sunday morning, the woman got up early to take a long walk. After a brisk five-mile hike, she decided to treat herself to a double-dip chocolate ice cream cone.
She hopped in the car, drove to the center of the village and went straight to the combination bakery/ice cream parlor. There was only one other patron in the store: Paul Newman, sitting at the counter having a doughnut and coffee.
The woman's heart skipped a beat as her eyes made contact with those famous baby-blue eyes. The actor nodded graciously and the star struck woman smiled demurely. Pull yourself together! She chides herself. You're a happily married woman with three children, you're forty-five years old, not a teenager!
The clerk filled her order and she took the double-dip chocolate ice cream cone in one hand and her change in the other. Then she went out the door, avoiding even a glance in Paul Newman's direction.
When she reached her car, she realized that she had a handful of change but her other hand was empty. Where's my ice cream cone? Did I leave it in the store? Back into the shop she went, expecting to see the cone still in the clerk's hand or in a holder on the counter or something! No ice cream cone was in sight.
With that, she happened to look over at Paul Newman. His face broke into his familiar, warm, friendly grin and he said to the woman,
"You put it in your purse.

Back in the day, Stallone was a struggling actor in every definition. At some point, he got so broke that he stole his wife’s jewelry and sold it. Things got so bad that he even ended up homeless. Yes, he slept at the New York bus station for 3 days. Unable to pay rent or afford food. His lowest point came when he tried to sell his dog at the liquor store to any stranger. He didn’t have money to feed the dog anymore. He sold it at $25 only. He says he walked away crying.

Two weeks later, he saw a boxing match between Mohammed Ali and Chuck Wepner and that match gave him the inspiration to write the script for the famous movie, ROCKY. He wrote the script for 20 hours! He tried to sell it and got an offer for $125,000 for the script. But he had just ONE REQUEST. He wanted to STAR in the movie. He wanted to be the MAIN ACTOR, Rocky himself. But the studio said NO. They wanted a REAL STAR.

They said he “Looked funny and talked funny”. He left with his script. A few weeks later, the studio offered him $250,000 for the script. He refused. They even offered $350,000. He still refused. They wanted his movie, but NOT him. He said NO. He had to be IN THAT MOVIE.

After a while, the studio agreed, gave him $35,000 for the script and let him star in it! The rest is history! The movie won Best Picture, Best Directing and Best Film Editing at the prestigious Oscar Awards. He was even nominated for BEST ACTOR! The Movie ROCKY was even inducted into the American National Film Registry as one of the greatest movies ever!

NO ONE KNOWS WHAT YOU ARE CAPABLE OF EXCEPT YOURSELF! People will judge you by HOW you look. And by WHAT you have. But Fight on! Fight for Your place in history. Fight for your glory. NEVER EVER GIVE UP!

Even if it means selling all your clothes and sleeping with the dogs, IT’S OKAY! But AS LONG AS YOU ARE STILL ALIVE, Your STORY IS NOT OVER.

Keep Up the Fight. Keep your dreams and hope alive. Go get it !!!

Spending the week at my parents for hunting. While sitting in the woods I noticed something, or rather, a nothingness.
For as long as I've been alive and hunting. As daylight would rise faintly in the distance you would hear the pump to the barn turn on for the morning milking , the bunk turn on, and the heifers parade and bellar as they headed to eat their morning meal...... not this year.
This year there was nothing. Not a single familiar noise.
As I walked back from my hunting spot I decided to stop in to the barn I grew up milking and feeding cows in. As I entered through the door there was again .... nothingness
The barn filled with remnants of bedding from the last time cows were let out , the ceiling buried in cobwebs and dust, and memories from years past. The dim light seemed to be even more dim then usual as barn sat there... lifeless.
All I seemed to think was of all the articles I see on Facebook of family farms going under and selling out as there isnt money to be made doing it anymore, then coming to the realization this farm made it into that statistic.
All I can say is support your local dairy farms they have and always be a huge part of this country. And this one in particular will always hold a special place in my heart

A New York woman who owns a yarn shop (South Road Stitches) asked her daughter’s teacher to have all of her students color a picture of a winter hat. When the students returned from Winter Break, she had knitted each one an actual hat matching their drawing, getting the colors and design as close as she could (similar to Mrs. Bell's idea on TikTok). What a sweet winter surprise! Here are the hats and the student drawings.

She was eighty-two; the days had long passed. She didn't live for herself, counting every ruble. Her life revolved around her grandson and children, and she spent her time crocheting socks. But often, she couldn't sleep at night, tossing and sighing.
It was a painful reality, infinitely sad. To her children, she seemed like a burden. They assigned her a corner, fed her simple meals, and tucked her to sleep behind the curtain by the stove.
The son-in-law often complained to his daughter, "How much longer, Nastya? I can't endure this 'happiness' much more!" The daughter stayed silent, only occasionally expressing her sadness: "We'll face the same fate when we're old, Dad."
Grandma's grandson was a source of joy after a long wait. He read to her while everyone else slept. He brought lunch and sweet cookies to her corner, asking about his grandfather and sharing his own thoughts.
"Tell me about the war! Did you fight too? Have you seen the Germans? Were you in captivity?" "Oh, you're funny, Kolka," she chuckled. "Your grandfather fought near Moscow. But he didn't come back."
"I haven't learned to hide grief under my heart, Kolyunya. War is a harsh reality. God forbid!" "Hey, Ba, no need to cry!" The granddaughter and grandson hugged her, making life feel less bitter in a seemingly callous world.
Grandma often dreamt about her grandfather, feeling a growing difficulty in saying "No." A pain lingered under her rib... Until the day she went away, seemingly to freedom. In her old chest, they found a note addressed to "Kole!"
Two pairs of knitted socks, a stash of dry bread, a few balls of yarn, and a photo of grandma and grandpa. No one cried except the grandson, holding the cherished items, remembering the old man.
He pressed them to his chest, feeling the priceless treasures. The pain pierced like a dagger, as if there was a current running through his veins. The boy, only twelve, was wiser than others: Stale bread is not scary; a troubled soul is more terrible.

Walmart and Costco carry this jam and I felt that this story needed to be shared and you will feel the need to too ❤️
*The incident took place in a supermarket in New Jersey. The tweet is by Michael Perino *
“At the supermarket today, I found a small, elderly woman standing in front of a high shelf holding preserves. She was having trouble finding the flavor she wanted because the jars were set back on the shelf.
She couldn’t read the labels. She could barely reach them. I offered to help.
After I handed her the raspberry preserves, she thanked me, paused, and then asked, “Do you know why I buy this brand?”
I laughed and replied, “Because it tastes good?”
“Yes, it tastes good.” She paused again. “I am a Holocaust survivor.”
This was not the conversation I expected on a Sunday grocery run. “During the war, the family that owns the company hid my family in Paris. So now I always buy it. And whenever I go to the store, my grandkids remind me, ‘Bubbe, don’t forget to buy the jelly.’”
I told her that that was the best reason I ever heard to buy any company’s product. And then we both smiled behind our masks and went our separate ways.”
*****************************
Someone else on Twitter looked into the story and indeed, the town that Andros Company, the makers of Bonne Maman, comes from, hid and saved Jewish families in WW2. It was called Biars sur Cere, which then had about 800 villagers.
From an article, “You have to understand what it was like then. There were posters on the walls, from the N***s and from the collaborators, and they said that if you are found to help a Jew, a freemason, a communist, a socialist, or a pervert, you will be shot on sight.” Despite the great danger in which helping them put the villagers in, still they kept the children safe.”
A good reason to buy Bonne Maman products. And a poignant reminder that when we look out for each other it can change lives, and that there are good and selfless people in the world.
♥️Bonne Maman! 🇫🇷

The Christmas Coat
An old boy was fumblin around one day
In a women’s clothing store
He’d found his wife a Christmas coat
And was headed for the door
When he bumped into a little boy
That looked like he was lost.
And he said “Mister can you help me
Find out how much something costs?
Here it is almost Christmas
And the nights are gettin cold
Winter time is on us
And my mom don’t have a coat.
I’ve been workin for the neighbors
And saving for a time”
And in his tiny outstretched hand
Was a dollar and a dime.
His gaze went from that big eyed boy
To that pretty Christmas coat
And he finally cleared away the lump
That had gathered in his throat.
He said “Son
that’s just what this coat costs
We’re lucky that we found ‘er”
And he turned around and gave a wink
To the lady at the counter.
She put it in a pretty box
And wrapped it up just so
And went off in the back
And found a big red Christmas bow.
He said, “I thank you for your help sir
And I kindly thank you ma’am
I hope y’all are gonna have a big Christmas
Cause now I know I am.”
Well the old boy walked home busted
Except for the dollar and the dime
Thinkin he’d just have to buy
The coat another time.
He told his wife that Christmas this year
Wouldn’t be much fun
And he gently took her in his arms
And told her what he’d done
She said “Why you old softie
I wouldn’t trade you for a farm
I’ve got two or three old coats
And your love to keep me warm.”
She put that money in a matchbox
And placed it beneath their tree
And said, “That is the grandest gift
You’ve ever given me.”
The years went by like years will do
When people are in love.
Their marriage was a golden bond
That was forged by God above.
Then one day came some bitter news
That filled his heart with fright.
The doctor told the old man’s wife
That she was going to lose her sight.
He said, “There’s an operation we can do
But it puts me on the spot
Cause it’s a quite complex procedure
And it’s going to cost a lot.”
The old man said, “Doctor I’m a failure
I’ve made no preparation
We don’t have the money
For that kind of an operation.“
The doctor got the strangest look
And he sat there for a while
And then he slowly nodded
And he broke out in a smile
He said, “Why sir you can’t fool me.
You’re a very wealthy man.
You long ago invested
In the world’s best savings plan
I’ll see she gets the best of care
She’s going to be just fine
And the total cost to you old friend
Is a dollar and a dime.”
The old man stared in disbelief
Then he recognized that smile
The one he’d seen those years ago
On a loving thoughtful child.
He said “What you gave to me that day
Was more than just a coat.
You gave me the gift of giving
And you gave my mother hope.
My mother’d been mistreated
Neglected and abused.
But she gave life just one more chance
And it was all because of you.
Now every year she takes that coat
And lays it beneath our tree.
It represents to us the things
That Christmas ought to be.
She says that when we leave this world
For a better home someday
The only things that we’ll take with us
Are the things we gave away.

To the parent that has 2 presents under the tree - you’re a great parent.
To the parent that has 30 presents under the tree - you’re a great parent.
To the parent that has no presents under the tree - you’re a great parent.
To the parent that has no tree - you’re a great parent.
To the parent that had to ask for donations this year - you’re a great parent.
To the parent that stood in line at the Salvation Army - you’re a great parent.
To the parent that has everything wrapped - you’re a great parent.
To the parent that hasn’t shopped yet - you’re a great parent.
To the parent that can't do anything this year - you’re a great parent.
To the grieving parent that is ready for the season to pass - you’re a great parent.
To the newly single parent that cries at the thought of Christmas morning - you’re a great parent.
To the parent that doesn’t celebrate Christmas - you’re a great parent.
To the parent that forgets to move the elf every night - you’re a great parent.
To the parent barely holding it together - you’re a great parent.
This season does not define how great of a parent you are. Remember that.

Biologists have followed them as they meet every night to comfort each other. They stand for hours together watching the lights.
