TO THE EDITOR: I am writing in support of Brandi Lloyd for Clinton County Clerk.

I have known Brandi for seven years and have worked with her at the Board of Elections. There are many words I could use to describe Brandi Lloyd. She is competent and has the skills and knowledge which make her an excellent leader.

Brandi Lloyd is approachable, dedicated and reasonable. She listens and cares. Brandi Lloyd is receptive, responsive and follows through with conviction.

I believe that Clinton County needs a County Clerk with a new perspective and foresight for the present time and future. I believe Brandi Lloyd has the vision, determination, and drive to serve Clinton County as County Clerk.

TO THE EDITOR: I have known John Zurlo for more than 30 years and I agree he has done a good job as County Clerk, but it is time for a change.

We, the taxpayers of Clinton County, are currently paying a part-time employee full-time wages. We need a full-time County Clerk.

Brandi Lloyd is prepared to do just that. When I was elected highway superintendent, I had the pleasure of working with Brandi in the Town of Mooers when she served as town clerk/tax collector, Democrat Committee chair and Mooers rep on the Clinton County Democratic Committee.

Brandi Lloyd again is successfully serving the people as the Board of Elections Democrat deputy commissioner. Brandi Lloyd is educated, honest, reliable, qualified, and dedicated to serving the people. I am proud to endorse Brandi Lloyd as our next Clinton County Clerk.

Get out and vote for change and a full-time County Clerk on Tuesday, Nov. 7. Vote Brandi Lloyd.

TO THE EDITOR: I am endorsing Brandi Lloyd for Clinton County Clerk.

I see Brandi as a new start for the County Clerk’s position. I have worked with Brandi at the Board of Elections for the past five years and find her accommodating, supportive, able to handle very confidential, complex, and time-sensitive issues in a very professional manner. She gets along well even with the most difficult people; an asset we all need in this volatile world we now live in.

There comes a time when we need to listen to the youth of our country/county. If we wish to make greater strides thru government by means of new and fresh ideas that they bring forward.

The absence of young adults in politics is contributing to a vicious cycle of political distancing among the young. They are our future. This is not a message to convey that older politicians cannot do their job, but a statement that says it is like the elected leadership in our county, as well as the United States, is on the verge of being too old for office.

I truly believe there should be term and age limits as some of my concerns that I have with politicians is that they are clinging to positions of power and therefore overstay their welcome.

It was the hottest day on earth and we celebrated the 4th of July in Plattsburgh with the biggest crowd of parade goers yet! Fantastic!!

👏 Kudos to the Cadyville Fire Department for such a successful field day, parade, and weekend FULL of activities! We had so much fun participating in the parade. And the field day was amazing! There was something for everyone from the crafts and food, to the entertainment and games! (Thanks Dawn, Deb, and Debra😉)
