1980's πΊπΈ -> π©πͺ
Hello Wings lovers!
Here's an odd one today.
Did you know that back in the 80's, Columbia label was still a trademark of EMI in Germany?
Back then, Columbia USA used to export copies for German market. These versions are called "Export" pressings.
Therefore, for legal reasons, everything mentioning 'Columbia' had to be pasted with the CBS logo on album covers and record labels.
Visually, every Columbia label or text was pen marked on the sleeve or pasted with a CBS logo sticker. Labels had to be entirely pasted with a custom 'Legaler Import' CBS sticker. Sticker could partly be removed (center) to make album title and song credits appear.
Odd one indeed!

Maybe time to dig out this nice embroidered fleece jacket available through AF1 back then.

Hello Wings lovers!
Walk This Way vs Walk This Way!
Yes, vs. Why? Well, did you know the single came out in two versions? Check it out with both 1st and 2nd Canada pressings presented here!
1st one is backed with "Round and Round" (1975)
2nd pressing came out backed with "Uncle Salty" in 1976 with a different label layout.
1978 π©πͺ or πΊπΈ
5 the Hard Way! - An incomplete good audience recording of 25th Nov 1977 show at Aladdin Theater. Released in 1978 on both sides of the Atlantic, the LP came out in two different colored covers variants.
1986 π΅π
Hello Wings lovers!
Did you know Classics Live! LP came out in Philippines with a slightly different front cover and unusual Sunburst CBS labels for that period, as CBS/Columbia used plain red ones at that time?
Rarely seen, if you spot one in good condition, go for it!
1976 πΊπΈ
Hello Wings lovers!
Awesome first time see, and new in the collection π€©
Here's an original 1976 laminate issued for the Sunday 12th September show at Angels Stadium, Anaheim, CA.
This show was meant to be the last of the US tour before the band hit the European grounds for the first time. But the San Diego 11th Sep show originally scheduled for Balboa Stadium was moved to 13th Sep at Sports Arena because of rain and poor tickets sales.
1979 πΊπΈ
Hello Wings lovers!
A huge welcome in the collection for something you don't see every day.
Here's an original 1979 US 2-track Video Reel tape issued by Aleks Rosenberg & John Fraker Productions Company, NY.
The tape contains music videos for "Chiquita" and "No Surprize" and was used for TV use.
Hello Wings lovers!
Aerosmith fan and follower of this page Lou Campione asked me to share this fantastic piece of Aero History.
Look at this 1974-75 tour jacket. Lou sold a Gibson SG, he got the jacket in return. What a nice deal!!
Thanks Lou for sharing this one with us π€π₯!

Hello fellow Wings lovers!
Back to Get a Grip! On the eve of the 1994 Grammy Awards Ceremony, Aerosmith and Sam Goody organized a VIP only private party to celebrate the band's Grammy Award for Best Rock Performance by A Group Song for "Livin' On The Edge".

1976 π©πͺ
Hello Wings lovers!
Back with another newie just acquired!
A first time see and a absolute rarity with this 1976 original pass issued by local promoter MAMA Concerts for the 4 Aerosmith shows in Germany:
20 Oct 76: Philipshalle, DΓΌsseldorf (Cancelled)
21 Oct 76: Erlangen Stadshalle, Erlangen
26 Oct 76: Offenbach Stadshalle, Offenbach
28 Oct 76: Frierich-Ebert Halle, Ludwigshafen
MAMA Concerts promotion company was founded in 1968 by Marcel Avram together with his friend and partner Marek Lieberberg. They brought world-class artists to Germany and Europe - their initiative turned sport halls and football arenas into concert halls and open-air coliseums. Mama Concerts became CTS, now called Eventim, Germany largest ticketing and artist promotion company. Lieberberg is best known for founding and organising the now famous Rock am Ring and Rock im Park festivals (in which Aerosmith appeared a few times).

Hello Wings lovers!
One year later from the official release came this exclusive unofficial Taiwan-only edition out.
Album came with custom fold out obi with tear-off postcards and unique booklet in mandarin.
Asia is always surprising in terms of covers and design, and this one makes no exception to the rule!
Only saw this one once, now a long time ago.
1990 π¬π§
Hello Wings lovers!
Another fresh addition to the collection, and it's something very special!
A first-time see for this white variant of the UK Uncut Test Pressing for the Dude shaped picture disc.
But there's more! If you put the record in front of a light source, you discover there are other pictures hidden behind the white coat. It took me some time to figure out what these were, but I made it π. The 'hidden' pictures come from a Paul McCartney 12" picture disc untitled 'Press Conferences Rome & London 1989' (see last photo). Seems the pressing plant who used to press the Aero single also pressed the Macca one and made some weird tests with it π.
Absolutely no idea if several copies exist of this variant or if this was a one-shot test.
Anyway, undoubtedly a great collector's item!
1987 π©πͺ
Hello Wings lovers!
Another beautiful addition to the collection with this superb '87 German 12inch single featuring 4 different mixes of 'Dude' + 'Simoriah'.
Atwork is exclusive to this pressing, tracks running order are different from US pressing, and 'Simoriah' is mispelled as 'Simorah' on both label and back cover.
Enjoy the pics and stay tuned for more new stuff on this page in a few days!
1973 π³π±
Hello Wings lovers!
Another day, and another new major addition in the collection!
I've been chasing this one for years, patience has finally been rewarded π
Here's the original 1973 Dutch pressing of Aerosmith's first album, with the early 70's famous Plain Orange CBS labels.
It comes here complete with its original CBS inner sleeve.
Very hard to find in good condition nowadays.
No better way to start the weekend!
1988 πͺπ¨
Hello you Wings lovers!
It's Monday, time to share another collector's item with you all!
Today a very rare and splendid Ecuador pressing of 'Angel/Girl Keeps Coming Apart (La chica continΓΉa viniendo por separado)', complete in its 'Fediscos' die-cut clear plastic sleeve. This is the first single out of two released in Ecuador (second will be Love in An Elevator in 1990).
If you see one, don't miss it, these have become very hard to find.
Happy Bday to the Admiral !! π₯π₯π₯

Helloooo Wings Lovers!
Here's some unusual Pump laminated pass used for Geffen Records reps during the tour. Some copies popped up recently and I couldn't resist grabbing one for the collection π
2023 π―π΅
Hello Wings lovers!
Landed just in time to coincide with the kick off of the tour, here's another example of what our japanese friends are able to put out in terms of release.
Instead of useless and expensive "Super Deluxe" lp sets that no one will buy, Universal Japan spoils us fans with a monster 6-cd package not available anywhere else. Isn't that great?
So what makes it so special?
CD1->3 are the regular Greatest Hits tracks.
CD4 and 5 are called "Live form the Soundboard 1977-2016" Vol.1 & 2. Twenty tracks from the vaults available for the first time on cd.
CD6 is, also available for the first time on cd, the audio side from the "Rock for the Rising Sun" DVD/Blu-Ray released in 2013.
Add to that an extra booklet with complete package tracklist and details, biography, lyrics.
Add to that (only in the first batch) an insert regarding a Japan-only lottery (15 lucky people) to win a complete set of autographs from each band member.
And you would think it's over? Nooo, it's not.
Add to that, again only available with the first batch, a free promo B2-sized Aerosmith poster! For the story, poster will remain rolled as it was professionally rolled and wrapped in silk paper and sealed with a company sticker. I though added a sample picture of it so you can have a view.
Domo arigato Japan for that really worth buying item! This is the true Deluxe of the Deluxe version. Unbeatable!
Wings out, time to celebrate the best Rock'n Roll band in the World!!

Hello Wings lovers!
Here it is, the much talked about controversial new GH album. Nothing new, a poor designed cover, and same goes for the tracklist.
Anyway, there's some light among the multiple variations of the release.
Here's a french FNAC stores exclusive just received, embellished with two splendid Red & Black swirl lp's.
-> Target stores are also releasing it as exclusive in the US (with a diff front sticker), but these are two different pressings.
Even with the baddest release, there's always something to collect! π
1973 π¬π§
Dream On / Somebody - 1973 UK original pressing in White label promo copy, complete with UK "CBS-The Music People" early 70's company sleeve.
Untouched push-out centre and four spokes.

A one-off and unique new addition!
Here's a local promoter AA laminate issued for the Aerosmith show at Exstadio 'Explanada' Monumental, Lima, Peru, on 22nd May 2010.

Hello Wings lovers!
Another newie added to the collection.
Here is the 1987 first japanese laserdisc pressing of Video Scrapbook, still in original US-like shrink, with different "Videodisc" obi strip.
The LD comes complete with two inserts:
Insert 1: Double-sided "CBS/Sony Laser Vision Disc Collection" insert with order form.
Insert 2: Double-sided VideoScrapbook with tracklist info and Aerosmith bio and 1987 tour info + disc track by track short story.
Second pressing was released one year later with diff catalogue number and obi strip. (I'll post it soon)

One of my fave Aero tracks.
DWM's last track on cd and cassette editions only, Geffen released it as a double A-side Promo-only 12" single with a custom sleeve (and no backwards lettering!).
Darkness was the fourth and last promo single to be released from DWM album.

Remember the "Back to the Rocks" 19-title campaign reissue in Japan?
Well, these 19 mini lp remastered reissues also exist in promo copy π¬π. A nightmare for the collector!
Produced in extremely limited quantities for radio and press purpose, these are a pain to find nowadays.
Anyway, I was lucky enough to find this Whitford/St Holmes promo copy some weeks ago, complete with the original silver front sticker, back cover promo sticker and insert.
Still 14 to find, my hopes are intact! π

Dont cry for Me Argentina π€πΌ, she said ...
I didn't cry (maybe of joy though) when I bought this rare Argentina Promo copy of 'Noche en las galerias' (Night in The Ruts) LP, complete with promo sticker on back cover.
All album credits and tracklist are in spanish with a nice printed promo text on both labels.
Sleeve is not laminated for this release.
Thank you to Daniel Paulin, Radio DJ in Canada for asking me to share his pictures on this page.
The item was autographed while on tour in Canada π¨π¦.
Very nice indeed π π β€οΈπ€!

Something for the Joe Perry fans here!
As Joe Perry is currently touring Europe with the Hollywood Vampires (and he just rocks every night!), I dug out some JPP stuff from the shelves.
The first JPP album out in 1980, here in promo copy for the Japanese pressing.
I had it signed by Joe in '97 and I remember he was very pleased I presented this one and the second JPP to him. π€
