A woman physicist stopped light in her lab at Harvard while another woman runs the linear accelerator at Stanford.
To read of their achievements is to understand how important it is that the barriers women face in science (and in other fields) should be broken down as quickly and as entirely as possible.
It will take goodwill and hard work to make science a good choice for women but it is an effort in which we cannot afford to fail.

The right to expression, fueled by the Right to Write, is a basic Human requirement. The loss of Scientific Vigor in assertions, statements and policy planning has lead to this day, when the world is reeling under a deluge of misinformation, unscientific policy planning and aimless assertion of unattained goals.
It is time to speak up, to turn the deluge into a deluge of Science, Science in conjugation with art, for both are brothers in this war.

KALI- Unmasked
Who is she? Our Goddess whom we worship with great pomp, show and vigour. Or a broken, bruised, molested, battered, ill-treated girl next door.
In a place where most of the deities are female, the plight with her representatives here and there is shocking. We call ourselves open minded, progressive, but honestly the progression is only restricted to theories. In most of the cases there is hardly any practicality to it, leave alone its application.
The disciples of the divine being be it you , me, or anybody else have always maintained a barrier between the thought process and the practice process. From infancy, we are taught that girls are under somebody- to start with father, then husband and later son. Majority of the households even now are elated to hear the birth of a boy child and depressed to know of a girl being born. Ironically, a girl has always been the anchor of the ship be it her home or her office, she has managed both with expertise and efficiency. But are we appreciated? I assume the answer is negative. Our epic Ramayana has shown us that even Sita had to prove her fidelity by jumping into the sacred fire.
The practice continues. Even today if a girl falls prey to human predators it is her fault, if a woman is a victim of domestic violence, she is expected to adjust not by anybody else but even her mother. Such is our predicament.
But, as we know life moves on and we too with although a heavy heart, a beaten soul but a brave face shall look for new beginnings. It is time to fight back, to give back what we have got. Thus, Kali with her colourful, decorated mask will keep on ruling the mandaps but also be vigilant and alert against all atrocities of society. From team Amore Impressions let this be our pledge to ourselves.

SHUBHO MAHANABOMI
We present the fourth production from Jantrodanob.
"SODHON"
As the judge gavelled the Court to a conclusion sentencing her to life imprisonment, she found her life and freedom. Confining her youth and her future within the walls of a shabby cell she broke the shackles that had long held her captive. The chains had cut deep enough into her skin to leave an eternal mark but after all she no more had to hide her tears behind that gentle smile, no more did the setting sun enwreathe her soul with fear, no more would the nights be so long and excruciating and no more would she suppress her ear-splitting cries of pain. The days had been far too enervating for her to endure the persistent agony any longer. But peace wasn't far now. Finally she would succumb to the moonlight and the lullabies. It was time for her to sleep.

This Covid-19 has forced thespians into a long distance relationship with their first love i.e. proscenium. So, few such passionate thespian souls come together as Jantro Danob and presents to you Dhaker Tale, a series of audio play.

"You know, I tried not to think of this place. I tried to let it go. To leave it behind. But it always came back to me, in my dreams. I'd dream about these details, these objects and people and places I'd left behind, and I'd wake up crying."
Amidst the Pandemic every Bengali soul is awaited for that one day of the year when the little climber trees in the family return to its roots to make it more auspicious. Season of love across the city, the green room in my light, sometimes an unfamiliar parachute and the note of dhaak lament the song of returning home. The trees are not shattered yet though the fruits got rotten yet something delicacies still left on them. We almost, still find that country dreaming would never return to one's childhood. There is no way, the country is lost. You know the country is over tomorrow or at this time. Still, we left to walk the path ahead to reglorify our route to wipe off our city's tears.

In 2013, a horrifying incident occurred in Delhi that flooded the national newspapers for days to come. It led to candlelight vigils, took the nation by rage, led to change in laws such as the juvenile age or the definition of the very crime.
The victim was named Nirbhaya: a woman without fear. But Nirbhaya was not brought to justice. Millions of women across the country are still waiting for their justice. And the rest are praying every single day before they step out that nothing like that should happen to them.
The 19 year old Dalit from Hathras will not be brought to justice. You ask why I mention βDalitβ? You ask why people are making it a caste-based issue. Because, dear readers, in India, it is these divisions in society that direct the apparently blind scale of Justice. It is her caste that led to the crime, and the high caste of the perpetrators that will lead to subsequent cover up.
After her last rites were performed hastily, section 144 was imposed, closing off the borders in the UP district. Mediapersons, protestors, politicians: no one would be allowed to enter. Makes the process of hiding corruption easier. The family alleged that the administration was putting pressure on them to change their statement. So now, the most basic and fundamental rights that a democracy has to offer us: freedom to protest and to move the court have also been taken from the people.
Politicians may try to meet the young girlβs family. But 90 women in India are r***d daily. Ask the government if they are ready to meet every single grieving family every single day. Ask if their visit or compensation will bring the womanβs dignity back. If it will bring the criminals to justice.
If not, then visits and campaigns and populist jargon donβt impress us. We want action. And we want it now.

"An error does not become truth by reason of multiplied propagation, nor does truth become error because nobody sees it.Truth stands, even if there be no public support. It is self sustained.β On the 2nd of October, on the birthday of the man who helped bring peace and freedom to the country, we celebrate by shutting down doors to democracy and by oppressing the voices of the downtrodden, the ones for whom Gandhi fought the most.
