I love to be creative, to give options and I generally don’t do sun salutations!! I don’t walk around the room correcting your alignment.
I use cues to help you feel into each movement.
Yoga is fundamentally an internal experience, one that only the practitioner feels.
Every body is different and I love to allow everyone the space to explore how each pose feels in their body. Yoga is a way of thinking, feeling, moving and living.
Slow Flow Yoga is perfect for this.

Lotus On The Water Mudra
I love this hand gesture. Just feels instantly calming for me. We are beginning classes this week with Padma Jala Mudra and a gentle Pranayama practice. Promoting the flow of energy throughout the body before we start moving. The gentle interlacing of the fingers connects energy pathways known as Nadis or Meridians, helping to harmonize the energetic system.
We will be practicing warming and strengthening flows to create a feeling of Overall Wellbeing 🙏🏻❤️

Reminder of the roots of our practice.
The Yoga Sutras mention asana only three times.
The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali define “asana” as “[a position that] is steady and comfortable”.
Patanjali mentions the ability to sit for extended periods as one of the eight limbs of his system, referring to a simple seated posture.
The Hatha Yoga Pradipika includes just 15 physical asanas. These texts remind us of the simplicity at the heart of yoga.
Today, gymnastic-like physical asanas are glorified, making yoga seem inaccessible to many except the Young, Flexible & Hypermobile.
There is a HUGE misconception that vinyasa is more aligned with the traditional roots of yoga, which is simply NOT true.
Let’s remember and honor the simplicity and stillness that are foundational to yoga.

You don’t need to be flexible, hyper-mobile or a certain shape or size to Practice Yoga.
Everybody’s Skeletal System is different and I will guide you to listen to your Body, to be and feel and adapt Poses for YOUR Body in a safe way.
With a Teaching background in Special Education, I have had my own Yoga Practice and used Essential Oils for Healing for over 3 Decades.
My own personal experience with Injury -Yoga & Essential Oils have helped Heal my Pain & Anxiety, Balancing my Hormones and supported me through a rough time, caring for my husband through Cancer & Treatment.
If I can help one other person then this makes my heart full.
Beyond the mat, I love Family, my Labrador, Music, Hiking, Trail Running, Weight Training, Teaching Group Fitness Classes and Designing/Sewing. I am a Les Mills Body Pump Instructor which I LOVE.
