Why did I choose freelancing?
I love the flexibility that it brings! I can choose how many clients I want to take on at a time, which means I also am picking how many hours a week I want to work.
I can choose what hours of the day I want to work: nap time, early mornings, evenings. Whatever works for me and my family's schedule.
I can be home more with my babies and create routines that work for us!

Don't get me wrong, I loved teaching for so many reasons!
I miss my past students and am sad that I will no longer be able to see them around the halls of the school. I loved working with my colleagues and my school felt like my home-away-from-home after working there for so many years!
But... after becoming a mom, teaching through/after a pandemic, and a few other reasons, it was extremely difficult for me to feel like I was able to be my best self at home or at work. I was DRAINED!
Then I heard about Virtual Assisting! I can work from home, schedule my own hours each day, and decide how many clients I want to take on! I have always been very organized and self-driven, and this career thrives off of those skills!

What even is a Virtual Assistant?
Don't worry, I had no idea what a Virtual Assistant was when I first heard the title either.
Basically, a Virtual Assistant (VA) is someone who helps a business owner run things more efficiently behind the scenes. They can do many different types of tasks, depending on what the business owner wants/needs. Some examples could be administrative tasks, help with social media or podcasting, email or calendar management, customer support, etc.
