URGENT ACTION ALERT! We need 5 minutes of your time right now to make a BIG difference:

There is a bill that will be heard in the Senate Appropriations Committee tomorrow (Feb. 8th at 2pm) called the "Community Schools Bill" (SB1635). The real name of this bill should be called "The Family Replacement Plan".

Here are the problems with the creation of Community Schools:

1) LOSS OF PARENTAL RIGHTS

◦ According to the creators of Community Schools (the National Educators Association), children will receive not only "free meals" and "health care", but also "mental health counseling, and other tailored services before, during, and after school" (4). We have seen very recently how the state of California has used school health care and mental health services to provide children with abortions and transgender hormone therapies WITHOUT parental consent or knowledge! (5)(6) Most recently, Arizona parents have discovered that their children are being taught shaming sophistries such as Critical Race Theory (a.k.a. "Deep Equity") at their schools (7). Children who spend extra long days at Community Schools will be indoctrinated with more political propaganda.

2. ENCOURAGES MORE GOVERNMENT DEPENDENCE.

◦ Whenever government assistance is increased, the number of single-parent households also increases (1). Children of single-parent households score an average of 20 points lower on IQ tests than those that come from a two-parent household (2). Children of parents who receive continual government assistance repeat the same pattern of total government dependence on welfare in their lives as adults (3).

3. THE EXORBITANT COSTS.

◦ This bill will create a $500k pilot program in our state and that is just the very tip of the iceberg. Once this pilot program is created here in Arizona, it will be extremely difficult to remove and will cost our state millions --if not billions, like it has in California. The state of California is already struggling to find ways to fund its expensive Community Schools and the only way they have been able to keep them running is through Federal grants from the Biden administration. The far left has been very encouraging of Community Schools to increase their influence on education, indoctrination of children, and to increase their own power that comes along with more welfare dependence.

Overall, Community Schools will completely supplant the family. There will be no need for parents to feed, provide care, teach, and direct the upbringing of their children. Families are the fundamental unit of a well-functioning society. As Ronald Regan has said, "Government is not the solution to our problems, government is the problem."

This Arizona parent in the Scottsdale Unified School District asked us to share this. You are going to want to read every word.
Her speech:
"After many requests, I was finally given the Savvas supplemental documents 6 days ago. Those documents are disturbing and disgusting and should not be part of any curriculum. Savvas promotes mental, physical, and s*xual abuse, underage use of drugs and alcohol and so much more! At this point, I have only had the opportunity to review a few pages, but here is what I found.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower is about a young child who is s*xually abused by his alcoholic aunt. The boy has lots of s*x, eats w**d brownies, and ultimately comes to the realization that his aunt molested him because she too was s*xually molested as a child which is why she committed su***de. Two male football players kiss and have descriptive gay s*x multiple times. During one of their s*xual encounters, one boy’s father walks in on them having gay s*x and beats his son. There is also pe******ia throughout the book, including how one young child’s first kiss was by her father’s boss. The book also includes bullying of the gay boys. This is not literature.

Another Savvas supplement is Looking for Alaska. This book has gained notoriety for being the 4th most banned book in the US due to its profanity and s*xually explicit content. It is a book that teaches how to give blow job, has extensive and descriptive promiscuous teen s*x, descriptive p**n videos watched by teens, ma********on, drugs, profanity, underage excessive drinking, drinking and driving (main character, Alaska, commits su***de by driving while drunk) and st*****rs. Page 62 describes the main character having s*x with a man that is “hung like a horse and a beautiful, sensual lover”. Three pages are used to explain how to give a blow job. In the end, the teens are immune to any decency or innocence and are depicted laying in bed, naked after s*x, drunk and smoking a joint. This is p**n and not literature. The book also claims that ma*****na is better than smoking ci******es.

The Liar’s Club, by Mary Karr. This is a book about abusive and alcoholic parents. An 8 year old girl is r***d by a teenager and later s*xually abused by her babysitter. There is excessive profane language, child p**n, child abuse, alcoholism, mental instability, physical and s*xual abuse of both adults and children, and so much more that is inappropriate and not “literature.” Spanking is described as “a kind of family sporting event complete with rounds”.

And, all of this is only in the first 4 pages of the supplements. You may try to claim that SUSD teachers won’t use these supplements, but they are available to them and you bought and paid for them. Teachers can and will use them as they are promoted by Savvas. This is not appropriate for our SUSD students. Thus, I request that you reconsider Savvas’ adoption into the SUSD curriculum."
