Took some time off SPARKS to focus on
some self-care, some quiet time and solitude.
Spent time with friends,
had some laughs along the way.
The real work continues -
this is session is the beginnings of a song
that will go on EP Number 2 of 4.

I’m hopeful that 2024 will bring with it
new energy, new collaborators,
& uncharted territory for SPARKS.

Greetings SPARKS,
I’m releasing four different chapters
of my SPARKS era! Each chapter taps
into unique parts of what makes me,
and all you “SPARKS” out there SHINE.

Act One: “FIRE”
showcases a s*xual nocturnal ambiance of sound.
I wanted to go deeper into
sensual parts of my personality, letting that side
take the driver’s seat. I think it’s important
to be proud of what makes you vibrate;
to be in tune with the complexities
of your soul, your spirit, your heart, & your body.
Sexuality has always been discussed
as taboo or ungodly.
God gave you grace, the heart,
and mind to figure out your way.
Learning what you will, or won’t accept
I believe you can be s*x-positive, and still
have spirituality in your life.
It’s not all just about s*x, there’s passion,
longing, aggression, exploration, and LOVE.

Talent isn’t enough.
That’s a hard truth.
I can create the most beautiful song in my eyes,
sing it in a way that connects to people.
It’s what I do with it.
How I educate myself about the business.
How I use that to market myself.
How I engage and elevate myself more.
I know I need to do more.

But ain’t no one in the neighborhood
even care about yours tho. 🐸☕️😒😏

The first Christmas gift to myself this year
I needed a better studio desk than a coffee table.
I had humble beginnings with
my coffee table - finding the right
fl**ge effect for the synth In “SILENCE”,
adjusting the EQ of the percussion on “U&URDRUGS” to make the claps
slap harder, to adding R&B horns on “SO OVER”,
& creating the infamous guitar hook of “HEARTBREAKA”.
Here’s to finding more ways to take chances,
more creativity and more new music!!
