EM Mechanical LLC.
We are a full service hvac contractor for both commercial and residential customers.
We specialize in geothermal heating and cooling with 16 years of geothermal installs and servicing with well over 400 units installed and maintained.
Replacing a tired old geo unit in a large house with multiple geo systems totaling about 30 tons 😬
Heavy rain coming. Make sure those sump pumps are up to par. Never good when hvac equipment goes for a swim. We've seen our share of destroyed equipment and sometimes due to simply an unplugged sump pump because someone unplugged the pump to use the receptacle for something else quick and forgot to plug that pump back in.
Air coil plugged on a geo system. Amazing the coil didn't burst or the compressor didn't blow. Maintenance is critical on all hvac systems, especially geothermal. You wouldn't buy a high end vehicle and never have it maintained would you? At least we hope not. We can promise you the repair will far outweigh the cost of maintenance, and even under warranty neglect is not a valid claim. Anyway....all cleaned up and operations back up and running.
New Trane RTU installed
Another vertical loop set going in!
Ducting in a new home in Orefield for geothermal. Loving these mild temps we're having.
Coil replacement on a 7-Series geo....
I will be away next week with limited cell service. I will do my best as always to respond to everyone whether it's thru call or text. Hoping service is good.

Appreciate every one of you. But this HVAC guy needs a vacation and a re-charge 😆.
Crane time. 30 Ton Trane Intellipak install.
Yet another new construction geothermal job begins.....:
Doing what we love! Removed a blown ClimateMaster geo unit and installed a new Waterfurnace system, flushed loops, start-up as per spec, and ac on by 12:30. Needless to say one happy customer beating the heat wave coming.
Installing a hybrid water heater. When paired with geothermal you basically have one of the most efficient means of domestic hot water. Literally for dollars a year.
Maintenance on a little 3 ton geo system. Had a slow drain alarm, cleared drain as part of routine work and no more nuisance condensate alarm. 👍.
No credit for install....was done by unknown.
Quick 2 ton Trane heat pump swap out for a customers rental property.
Replaced a tired old geothermal system with a new system for the second floor of a customers home.
Another Waterfurnace install completed and commissioned. (3) 7-Series systems, with Intellizones, desuperheaters, etc.
15 tons.
Trust the experts...we are not a pop up overnite "geothermal contractor". We have been 20 years strong of almost exclusively geothermal and over 1000 installs complete and customers inherited by other guys who thought they can do what we do.
Energy recovery ventilator being installed for a new home build coupled with 15 tons of geothermal.
These are a must for new homes! New homes are built very tight and air leakage rates are very low. The risk of not installing one is humidity problems, mold, sick home syndrome from re-breathing the same stagnant air over and over. These units bring in fresh air, temper it via core exchanger, and exhaust equal amounts of stale air. For a balanced system.
Accept NO substitute! a bathroom exhaust fan for fresh air is not a solution...that is what hacks do.
Only the best of ductless equipment installed. We will not even install any other brand of ductless units due to the reliability and reputation of Mitsubishi, including critical care, server rooms, medical facilities...where longevity and failure is not an option. 30k btu system here with (3) indoor heads (only 2 heads in pics shown).
Enjoy the weekend.
Staging up to set 3 more geo units in a new home. 12 tons worth!
Setting some Trane heat pumps for a development. 3 more homes in this one and off to the next development.
Another 2 new homes in progress.
We love when customers keep their units spotless and clean! Installed this Waterfurnace 3 zone system about 15 years ago when the home was built. Looks like it was put in yesterday.
Friendly reminder to please have your driveway cleared so we can get in. These vans do not go well in snow and we can't leave a van hanging out a driveway in the middle of a road. Not fun showing up on a service call and getting a bill from having to call a wrecker because we slid off a driveway into the woods. Stay warm.
Aftercare of equipment is one of the most critical aspects of choosing a contractor. We always follow up on service calls. Picking up the slack here when the installing contractor wouldn't respond to fixing this customers leaky desuperheater on a newer system. Miserable job in a tight space and even had to remove the water heater to access the unit. But we got it done and gained another customer. If you're getting estimates and you get a cheap one ask yourself "why".
Metal ducting on a 15 ton geothermal install in progress. Metal is slow and grueling but stays cleaner, less air friction, and can be cleaned by a duct cleaning company in the future.
We are the Lehigh Valleys ONLY Waterfurnace Geo-Pro master dealer. And have been a Waterfurnace dealer for almost 20 years strong.
A wifi wet floor sensor placed near a geo unit, boiler, water heater, etc...is great insurance to notify you of a flooding space. Just got a call for a flooded basement at a commercial account due to a failed sump pump. Both geothermal units are sitting in 3' of water.
House #9 of about 20 underway at Country Mews development in Upper Mt. Bethel. Cold, damp day to be on a construction site.
Next 12 ton Waterfurnace geothermal install. multiple units, multiple zones. Parkland School district.
Note: please do not forget to replace filters on your geothermal systems or any system. Even if we do the maintenance for you once or twice annually you may still need to replace filters in between. Air coils these days are thin aluminum and the refrigerants we use are very hi pressure, so it doesn't take much to generate a leak when airflow is restricted.
Warranty does not constitute neglect, nor will we submit any fraudulent warranty claims to the manufacturer. You will be 100% liable for the cost of all labor and materials.
replaced a Trane rtu at a plant. Beautiful weather for a crane job.
