Friends, did you know today, April 23, 2023, marks the U.S. Army Reserve's 115th Birthday?
Yup... So last Friday, as tradition dictates, a birthday cake was cut during a celebration by the "oldest person" in the unit - in this case U.S. Army Brig. Gen. Jed Schaertl, U.S. Army Europe and Africa Deputy Commanding General for Mobilization and Reserve Affairs, and the "youngest person" in the unit - in this case 1st Lt. Ashley Anderson, U.S. Army Europe and Africa's Resolute Castle project manager.
To clarify, we're not sure these two are really the oldest and youngest, but they did a great job cutting the cake, nonetheless. And this represents another opportunity to celebrate the 's birthday, and thank them for being part of our Team.
