Meet Fenway, Tom’s new guide dog and latest furry member of our club! Here Tom is pictured at last Saturday’s GDB graduation, with Fenway’s puppy raiser, Tom and one of Fenway’s GDB instructor.

This darling girl, Sparrow, has joined our club and is being raised by Niamh! Thank you Niamh for opening your home & heart to this sweet girl.

We look forward to watching Sparrow grow & learn what it takes to be a Guide Dog!

A big WELCOME to Bijou!
Bijou is an 18 week old female yellow lab that has been transferred to Kayla. This will be Kayla’s first GDB pup to raise and we are so excited for her and her family.

This club has been busy with the boys! First Chipper and now we have a new breeder stud, Nitro, a beautiful black lab who graduated as a breeder last weekend. He was lovingly raised by Mike & Devyn & Cynthia! It takes a village!

Falk is at it again… looking too darn cute - he’s going to break the Internet. Future influencer maybe?! He’s a Chipper off the old block! Too young to go on our puppy club stroll, he rode in style with his puppy raisers in the cutest little puppy stroller ever.

Our club said goodbye to Wrenley, a beautiful black lab who is being transferred to another club to continue her guide dog puppy training. She was lovingly started by Vianna, one of our club’s amazing puppy sitters. Good luck, Wrenley - we can’t wait to see you at a future graduation!

Welcome to the cutest, newest fluffball in town!
Meet Falk, DOB 1/19/24 (Remmie/Chipper), a male golden retriever who is puppy #21 for Mark & Leslie Graham.
Falk has big paws to fill; we hope he takes after his dad, Chipper, who was raised by the Grahams and lives in their household!

Today was our favorite golden boy Chipper’s presentation as a breeder at Guide Dogs for the Blind graduation ceremony in San Rafael. He’s been a favorite in our club and we can’t wait to see little “chips off the old block” contributing to Guide Dogs’ mission!

Here is golden/lab cross, Bonnie, during one of our recent puppy meetings, patiently working on a training exercise with food. She has the cutest resting pose with her front feet crossed!

Welcome to the cutest, little Labrador there ever was! Jodie, being raised by Lauren & Millie Sumner, is already off to a great start with her new family, pictured here in the front walkway wearing her green puppy jacket!

Introducing Wrenley, a female black Labrador retriever (pictured here on pick-up day with her new puppy raiser)! This is the first puppy for our long time puppy sitter, Vianna, and we know she is in good hands!

Congratulations to Jakarta, a beautiful black Labrador who was raised by the Gard-Furlong family, and is now a breeder for Guide Dogs for the Blind! We can’t wait to see fluffy puppies and hope they are as smart & sweet as their Mama!

Miss Fluffy Pants, Lottie (pictured here with leader, Maureen, and puppy raiser, Brenda), is heading back for guide dog training… She plans to make some new friends, learn some new skills, and chew on some new bones! Go, Lottie, go!

Club members Mark and Leslie were recently recognized for their commitment to Guide Dogs for the Blind as 19-year puppy raisers, including Chipper who was in attendance for this special recognition received at the Danville Mayor’s Installation and Community Service Awards. Mark and Leslie have raised 20 dogs for Guide Dogs and have been members of Danville Puppy Raisers since it was started in 2010. Congratulations Mark and Leslie for your long-standing commitment and all you do for Guide Dogs for the Blind!

Our club is a nice mixture of long time and first-time raisers. If you are interested in raising a puppy or becoming involved as puppy sitter for our club, please reach out via private message. We would love to have you join.

Cute puppy alert! We all had so much fun at our annual club Halloween party, complete with pizza, games, costumes & decorations!

Jakarta just headed off to Guide Dog Puppy school! She has been a fan favorite in our Puppy club and we’re sure she will be with all the trainers! Go, Jakarta!

We could still use more reservations for tonight at Gianni's! Please reach out to anyone you can think of who might enjoy supporting our wonderful club! If you can post on your Facebook or Nextdoor account that would be a big plus too. The advantage of this fundraiser is your friends can have a night off from cooking AND have delicious food. Anyone who can't attend, can still make a donation to our club.

Yesterday was a beautiful day for our club to take the ferry from Jack London Square to the San Francisco ferry building. Our puppies got to experience new sights, smells, and sounds on the ferry and at the SF Farmer’s Market. We ended the outing with lunch @ Gotts!

Chipper left our club to head to guide dog puppy school on August 12th. He is a gorgeous Golden Retriever, puppy #20 raised by Leslie & Mark. He is going to do great things… brains & beauty & braun all built into one! 🥰

Glimmer will be heading off to working guide dog college on Sept 10!
Glimmer is a yellow Labrador, puppy #27, raised by Jeanne in San Ramon. Thank you, Jeanne, for raising this sweet girl - we can’t wait to watch her rock the phase reports!

Beware Costco shoppers!
Lottie & I walked into the Concord Costco this morning and Halloween is in full swing (Christmas too!). We had to spend some time getting to know this motion-activated (scary voice & movement) mummy before we could begin our shopping!
Lottie got quite a lot of attention from other shoppers with her body language (interested but backing up) but ultimately it turned into a positive learning experience for her!

Meet our newest sweet bundle of fluff!
Bonnie is a Labrador/Golden cross female recently welcomed into the home of puppy raiser, Christine, of Walnut Creek. We can't wait to watch her grow & thrive!

She is also pictured with Christine's career change black lab, Vinnie (AKA Velocity), who is turning out to be a wonderful mentor dog for Bonnie.

This handsome pup is one of our club’s newest additions! His name is Marv. He is a male black lab, born on January 29, 2023 to sire, Kodiak and dam, Scout. And he is being raised by Charlotte. Welcome to our club, Marv!

Truly great job Mary Alice for raising Allstar and working with him through many challenges! Mary Alice put in a lot of hard work, dedication, and patience with Allstar! And she did an amazing job raising such a wonderful sweet puppy who is now going to be a lovely pet in fellow club member, Joyce’s family. Although Allstar’s journey as a puppy in training has come to an end as Allstar has recently been career changed, he is off to his next adventure as an awesome pet!
