This absolutely blew my mind, the more I hear about European lacrosse the more I love it and think they're doing it the right way.
Anyone ever heard of other clubs fundraising like this? So generous.

In episode 52 Coach Pat Scarpello talks about the depth of talent he had to choose from leading up to this world championships.
Episode 52 is now live! I had a great time talking with coach Scarpello, what a guy he is. The situation with the mens team this year is very unique losing their coach 3 months before the tournament and I didn't really know which way the conversation was going to go because of that. Pat has got to be one of the most down to earth no BS coaches I've ever had the privilege of talking with. Stepping up so late in the process when he was needed speaks volumes about the guy.
We spoke loads of different topics but I thought this nod to his coaching staff of the hard work they put in was very fitting.
Special thanks to Pat for coming on the show and best of luck to him, his staff and the Team England Men's Lacrosse next week in San Diego at the 2023 Men’s World Lacrosse Championship
One for the budding sports scientists out there. How has your sporting past assisted you in achieving your goals today? And does the education system compliment this idea?

I try not to use too much negative content in the promos for each episode but it's hard not to with this comment. I make Rich bang on the money with this one. Debate is healthy but if you're not actually developing the game in some way yourself, do you really need to be scrutinising the work others are doing to grow the game?
Episode 48 with Richard Gartside is now downloadable on all reputable podcast providers, or via the link in my bio
Special thanks to Rich for coming on the show

" If we want to develop the sport we should be pushing women's lacrosse, it's better and more important"
when I heard this as a men's player it annoyed me. Probably because mens is my preference and i want it to flourish. But talking with Ryan I realised it actually annoys me because he is 100% right. The womens game is far far easier to push than the men's game, for all the reasons Ryan explains in the episode. If you want to grow the sport you have to make it attractive to those who are yet to play the game and the cost of men's equipment amongst other things is a huge stumbling block we cant seem to get right. Infact we're going in the wrong direction.
Special thanks to Ryan for giving up his time and talking with me. Definitely one of my favourite episodes to date.
I never thought of it that way
Episode 43
We talk to the sensation that is Laura Warren. Laura is my lacrosse hero, the passion and dedication that she has for the sport is contagious, she's one of the most positive players I have ever had the pleasure of speaking with and when you hear the extent of her playing career and achievements it's hard to not be amazed.
We discuss some new topics for the show which was great, being a mother and an athlete, injury, age, mental health amongst many others.
Laura thank you so much for taking the time out to come on the show, I hope you enjoyed it. Follow the link in my bio to listen to the episode.

What its all about
With help from The Lacrosse Foundation we have been able to donate 30 of the new England Lacrosse unisex sticks to William Howard School Brampton this week. For a couple of years we have been helping the school develop lacrosse with TLF funding and this marks the point where they are self-sufficient in coaching and equipment. We will now turn our attention to getting lacrosse into other secondary schools in the region and hopefully permanently cement the game competitively in Cumbria. Pictured is Club Chair Dan with some of our players who first picked up the game at school and are now playing with the Club either as senior men and ladies or in our junior sessions. Also pictured on the far right is Richard Green, head of PE at William Howard, who has been a massive advocate for the program since we first approached him (so much so, he plays on the senior team now).
We cannot thank The Lacrosse Foundation enough for their ongoing support of Lacrosse in Cumbria. This is a proud day for the Club.
