A big thank you to everyone who voted for me in the school board race. I worked hard, contacted a lot of people, reconnected with a lot of former students and parents, and gave it my best. My goals were simple: have open communication and work hard for the students that I believe in so much. My name is Jean Davis Cline, a retired teacher, a mother of four, and grandmother of three. I am married to Dennis Cline, Cumberland Gap High School teacher and girls’ basketball coach and former Powell Valley High School teacher and boys’ basketball coach. We have lived on Back Valley Road on the family farm since 1994. I am the daughter of the late Jake and Cleo Davis and the granddaughter of Elbert and Vina Davis and Milt and Vina Ray.

I taught at Powell Valley Elementary School for thirty years and at H.Y. Livesay Middle School for six years. I’ve enjoyed having so many children in my class through my teaching years, and I believe the future of Claiborne County Schools should be our priority. Our children deserve the best, and my goal as your school board member is to work hard to provide them with every opportunity for growth and success. I hope that you share my vision and will help elect me as your 7th District School Board Member.
