Chhuttiyan

A vacation usually means a fun-filled break to unwind from daily life. A change of pace in a new place, maybe.

Our vacation amounts to someone’s livelihood. A way to earn. A way to feed their family.

The pandemic has had a direct impact on the livelihood of small businesses and daily-wagers who relied on tourism to earn their living. There is no travel, and so, there is no income for them. Overnight, everything they planned for this year turned to dust, and with the pandemic far from ending, things are looking quite bleak.

is an initiative that aims to help thousands of daily-wagers and small businesses affected by the pandemic, by raising enough funds to help them sustain over the next 3-6 months.

Someday, we’ll go back to these beautiful destinations. Let’s do our bit and help out those who usually help us. Let’s preserve something to go back to. Something, also, to look forward to.

YOUR contribution can change a life. We’re all in this together, so let’s join hands and help them out.

We stand with travel .

The monastery offers dinner at 6:30 pm. You can join the monks to enjoy the simple dinner. You have to pick a bowl and stand in a queue to receive thukpa, a noodle soup with many vegetables. You can also get butter tea here. So plan to dine in the monastery and don't forget to clean your dishes.

📍Nubra valley.

"The land of cold desert"

North of Leh, Ladakh’s ‘capital’, lies a far-flung and austerely beautiful enclave cradled by rugged mountains ‒ this is the Nubra Valley , a tuft of land on the very scalp of India.
The region actually comprises two valleys: Nubra and Shyok. Both their rivers rise amidst the remote and heavily glaciated peaks and troughs of the Karakoram Range. The Nubra joins the Shyok in the region’s heart near Diskit before flowing westwards into Pakistan to eventually join the mighty Indus.
It’s a pretty village, ideal for ambling, with a small roadside monastery and camels can often be seen grazing on the dune-like landscape .
Experience no sound of daily chaos but the gentle breeze of the fresh air; crystal clear water flowing by your side and so much more.
