I choose to speak up about this because my home state of Utah has some of the highest su***de rates. Especially for teens. In a review study published by JAMA Pediatrics, they surveyed youth and found some alarming statistics.

1: LGBTQ youth were 3.5 times as likely to attempt su***de as their heterosexual peers.

2: 10% were threatened or injured with a weapon on school property.

3: 34% were bullied on school property.

4: 28% experienced cyberbullying..

5: 18% students had experienced physical dating violence.

6: Another 18% had been forced to have sexual in*******se at some point in their lives.

7: 75% of LGBTQ teens experienced symptoms of anxiety in the past year.

9: 82% wanted access to mental Healthcare but were unable to receive help.

When I was a little girl the first Broadway album I would sing, on repeat, in my bedroom was Wicked. As I grew older I would never never look up how the show ended because I knew one day I would see it on Broadway, and I wanted it to be a surprise. With life being so busy I had pushed the priority of that dream to the back of my mind. However this weekend for Christmas my dad took me to NYC and made that life long dream of mine a reality. Thank you dad for the weekend I will NEVER forget.

I am so passionate about this story. The Wizard makes Elphaba look like the bad guy, but all she was trying to do was save the people she loved. She knew that it came with a price and she was willing to pay it. In the end everyone thought she was dead but she lived happily ever after. How do I find the words to describe how perfect of an ending that was. An ending well worth the wait.

My tree may or may not have been up the day after Halloween... BUT... now that the rest of the world is ready to celebrate with me, I'm going to share a quote from my favorite Christmas movie of all time, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation!!!🌟🎅🤶🎁

There are many other quotes that make me laugh but I chose this one because my crazy obsession with Christmas comes from my Dad. Everytime I even think of Christmas I always think of him pulling out those red and green boxes from storage the day after Halloween.
This time of year can be hard for so many people. Remember you are loved and even if you don't quite know where you fit in, in this world right now, one day you will find your place. Please stay, just breathe, and this too shall pass.❤💚❤💚

Keep working towards those little wins. Even when you feel like you can't take the shower or eat the meal, you can. Focus on the battle at hand, not the whole war. Sure enough one day you will notice the noise is gone or at least far enough away that you can think and make a battle plan. The weight will be light enough to breathe again. It's like when you pop your ears on a road trip or take your sunglasses off at sunset. A certain kind of comfort that comes from experiencing the world the way it was meant to be experienced. To be experienced at its fullest and darling you deserve that. You have always deserved that, even if you lost site of that for a moment.

The Van Gogh Exibit was the absolute most incredible experience of my life. Van Gogh was often remembered for his unqiue use of color, however, my favorite pieces of his are the dark ones. Vincent was mentally ill. He struggled just like the rest of us yet one day is art became practically priceless. His art inspires people like me to pick up a brush a paint. He taught me to break the "rules" of art and just paint what I feel.🌻🌻🌻
