The Victoria Inn is a well established local community wet led pub in Offerton Stockport, with the potential for a targeted food and cask offering. The pub has a lovely regular clientele, a fantastic sized beer garden and needs the correct operator to help capitalise on this as well as bring new potential customers in.

We at R&B Pubs are looking for a manager to run the establishment on a self employed commission based contract which gives you the flexibility to hire your own staff and or do hours yourself, with the support from an experienced management team who will help drive the business forward and support the needs of the venue. Accomodation is included. The correct applicant will need to hold a personal licence for selling alcohol

NEW PUB MANAGEMENT OPPORTUNITY.

We are proud to present our next pub management opportunity. The Duke of Wellington in Ince, Chester is a local community pub with real character. The pub is situated in the Quaint rural village of Ince and has a good local community following. The pub shows Sky sports and racing, and would benefit from team sports such as pool darts etc. The pub also has a catering kitchen currently supplying good quality Pub Fayre that will play an integral role in further developing the pubs offering.

We will be holding an open day for this venue Wednesday 27th April 2022 with slots allocated on a first come first served basis. Please note this is a self employed pub management opportunity. Applicants must hold a personal licence for alcohol sales (applicants will not be successful without) and must have experience in pub management, including experience in Food led Pubs. We are looking for someone strongwilled, with a good personality and enthusiasm to drive sales and profit. The correct applicant will also have a great drive to create a community feel in the pub. As the pub needs a focused manager who can dedicate themselves to creating a fantastic customer experience we are looking for the right applicant to be without the constraints of running any other public houses currently.

Our company is growing!

Our company is in the process of acquiring new sites, therefore we need to start our recruitment process for near future opportunities. We have decided the best way to do so is by holding open days in some of our current sites as an opportunity for potential managers to come along and meet our area manager and learn more about our company and our vision, whilst also giving the area manager chance to get to know yourself in the process.

Introducing our latest pub management opportunity. The Brown Cow is situated in Blackburn, just a stones throw away from Ewood Park Football Stadium. As such the Brown Cow is a community wet led local with a great football following, which with the right management could capitalise on this potential even further.

Public House Manager – Job Description

RB Pub Company is a small Pub Management group operating nationally throughout the UK and are looking for Pub Managers to join our company on a self employed basis. This opportunity is a step up from being a β€˜normal’ Pub Manager but does not carry the same risk of taking a tenancy/lease or purchasing a free house. The benefits of this are
β€’ You are self-employed, therefore your own boss. Private Accomodation is included for free on live in sites. (utilities included subject to fair use, a supplement may be required for additional use)
β€’ Motivational payment structure. You receive 17% of the outlets net turnover.
β€’ All the bills required with the operation of the site are paid by our company (i.e. Gas, Rates, Water, Electricity, Supplies etc). You are only required to pay your own staff, council tax and TV licence for private accommodation and your own land line/Internet Connection if you wished for your private use.
β€’ We pay for all entertainment at the site.

As a Public House Manager for RB Pub Company you will be responsible for the commercial success of the Public House you are assigned to manage. You will be responsible for all day to day operations of the site, including front of House duties, Customer relations, staff recruitment, accounting, stock control, marketing and advertising. You will work alongside the company to drive the particular site to commercial success.

As a Publican you will be expected to have strong, communication, management and practical skills. We try to run our pubs as a safe, welcoming environment which requires a manager who can adapt to ever changing situations to make sure the business runs smoothly.

According to the UK restrictions on the sale of Alcohol, you must have a Personal Licence to sell alcohol. If you do not have one at the time of application, it can be arranged for you to sit your examination at one of our sites (at your own cost). However applicants will not be placed into their prospective public houses until they have their licence.

You will be required to:
1. Interact with customers, serving food and drink, ensuring that the highest standards of customer service are upheld.
2. Take responsibility for the safety and security of the premises.
3. Make sure that all health and safety laws are complied with in all areas of the premises, at all times.
4. Organise and advertise entertainment. This will be done in partnership with the area manager to establish what the correct type of entertainment is and what budget is commercially viable.
5. Run promotional campaigns to correctly market and advertise products.
6. React to customer feedback, try to cater to your customers needs and expectations.
7. Maintain stock levels, keeping the bar stocked at all times, placing orders through upper management. Ensuring that stock is not being wasted unnecessarily.
8. Ensuring that the premises are properly maintained and cleaned, with any faults reported in a timely manner.
9. Recruit and train staff. Holding regular meetings to keep staff motivated and updated. Making sure staff members keep standards high at all times.
10. Monitor profitability levels at all times, always thinking of the bigger picture to try and maximise profit,
11. attend regular meetings with the Area Manager to assess Business performance and set sales targets.
12. Build and maintain good relationships with Customers, Staff, The Police and local authorities.

A deposit is required, depending on the site, this is held as security against any stock or cash deficits or damage or loss that may be incurred. This will be discussed on a site by site basis.

We feel that the package we offer is competitive, and reflects the ability to grow within the industry. We are happy to give people the chance to run their first pub, as well as experienced publicans looking to remain in the industry without the financial risks associated with it. We are always looking to increase our number of sites, therefore you can use the role as a stepping stone to sites with higher turnovers, meaning higher potential earnings.
