“Hope is important because it can make the present moment less difficult to bear. If we believe that tomorrow will be better, we can bear a hardship today.”
I know during these unprecedented and difficult times, it’s easy to feel helpless and discouraged from achieving what you desire, and maintaining an optimistic outlook. But this is the ideal time where you can focus solely on YOU. Whether that looks like learning a new skill, catching up on Netflix and sleep, starting a new venture or reconnecting with loved ones. Do it. And do it shamelessly. Everyone’s personal care looks and feels different. So now is the time to do what you were hoping you had the time to do, and make the changes you’ve been needing to make. Do what makes YOU feel good inside, because you are in charge of making YOU happy.
I hope you are all staying safe and ensuring that your mental and physical health are a priority. ♥️

What Are You Looking Forward to in 2020? 🌹

“I’d have to say I’m most excited about learning. Whether that’s taking a class, learning a new division of the industry I’m in, personal development, etc. I think the best thing we can do for ourselves is acknowledging that we will not know everything, and allowing that fact to push us to better our mind, body & soul. I personally don’t think we really experience life until we step out of what we know, and into something uncertain. It can be super uncomfortable at times, don’t get me wrong. But in the long-run, it’s definitely worth it.” :) -Katrina R.

What Does ‘Empowerment’ Mean to You? 🌹
______________________________________
Our clients share their perspectives on the word ‘Empowerment’, and how they attribute meaning to it.

“Empowerment can be achieved through actions and setting your mind on achieving it. Many will try to stop you, but the ones who matter will support you no matter what. Standing up for yourself is not always easy but your opinions matter.
*
I always feel empowered when trying and mastering something new. Knowledge is a powerful skill to have. I always surround myself with those that treat me as an equal and lift me up when I need some encouragement. Setting goals and life achievements are a key part of my empowerment, because pursuing a career in medicine as a woman is not always easy. We are looked as inferior to our male counterparts.
*
Lastly, always have positive thoughts and be your best cheerleader because end of the day only you will support and stand behind any decisions that you make.”

What Does ‘Beauty’ Mean to You? 🌹
______________________________________
Our clients share their perspectives on the word ‘Beauty’, and how they in their Indie Bindi wear!

“Beauty means more than physical appearance to me, it’s a feeling of confidence. A feeling of being unabashedly myself with no regard or space for negativity. It’s truly liberating! I catch myself embracing a cheeky, even Boss-y persona when my apparel and appearance match my energy.”

-Marisol V.

Our Story

For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Katrina Ranchhod - and welcome to my new and exciting venture!

Being an Indian woman born in the US - I always had a strong desire to embrace both the western culture and eastern values that represented who I was. And I thought - what better way to express my diversity and passion than through the art of fashion!

And that’s where the idea for ‘Indie Bindi’ came in!

I am currently focusing on specific pieces that embody particular cultural elements - all while providing individuals the ability to wear an outfit they can feel confident, comfortable, and powerful in!
