This week, Nathan brings on aspiring Toronto-based actor Donald Olango to talk about why he wanted to become an actor, how the pandemic has affected his career, what his thoughts are on race swapping characters, and the relationships he has with his agent and girlfriend, among other topics.

This week, Nathan brings on missionary, author, blogger and speaker Matthew Karchner to have a conversation about Karchner's former life as a homos*xual, and how he turned away from that lifestyle out of a conviction that participating in it involved sinning against God. Certainly, this discussion will not be controversial or inspire backlash in the slightest.

Episode 046: And What Is Cathartic? 16/09/2021

The dictionary defines "catharsis" as "the process of releasing, and thereby providing relief from, strong or repressed emotions", but is it always necessary to have it in stories? Should we be content when our narratives resolve in a neat little finale? Or is it more important to have our tales be reflective pictures of the human condition? And is this just a recorded argument between two random dudes, or is there something more meaningful taking place? Find out as Nathan takes on the subject in a debate with psychology student Ricky Jesus, AKA "Tyler Saison".

Minor update: Thanks to RSS feed transfer shenanigans, apparently most of the backlog has been wiped on Spotify and Amazon Music. The entire show is still available to listen to on Podbean, Apple Music, and iHeart Radio, so that's a plus. While we're working on solutions for the former, we recommend listening to the show on the latter platforms until we get this mess fixed up.

Episode 038: "Heresy" - Part III: Definitive Edition 20/07/2021

The "indefinite hiatus" is over! The podcast is back! To all of the people who liked this page without any guarantee that new episodes would be released anytime soon, your faith and curiosity have now been rewarded! To quote the seminal classic Neon Genesis Evangelion:

"Congratulations!"

As for the episode itself, we're going back to talking with Philip Nadurak about heresy and his journey to understand what's true, what's stupid, and what actually matters in the end.

Going forward, we intend to go for eleven more episodes before retreating back into hiatus, and most of the guests who we're planning to feature on the show are ones who've never appeared before. This is just an appetizer. Stay tuned.

A brief update: We were contacted by a past guest who informed us that due to privacy concerns, they no longer wanted their episode up, and so we have made the regrettable decision to completely remove "Episode 027: Lucy the Artist" from our online archives. The episode is still available offline on a hard drive, but currently, there are no plans to reupload it.
