ATTENTION RGV HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS:

RGV LatinXellence Peer Mentorship Program Mentee applications are now open for our Spring 2022 semester! Our program is a FREE non-profit volunteer mentorship program run by undergraduate students from the Rio Grande Valley dedicated to guiding and empowering young high-schoolers from the area. We had a huge success last year, with high school students in our program getting accepted into many universities including Harvard, UT Austin, Columbia, and UTRGV. Our program pairs accomplished Latinx college students from the Rio Grande Valley as mentors to Latinx high school youth and aims to uplift these students to achieve both personal and academic goals. Our mentors will provide resources and aid regarding college admissions, resume building, SAT prep, and career exploration, and will meet with their mentees every two weeks virtually. Our mentors attend 34 different universities all over the country, including Harvard, UT Austin, Princeton, Columbia, Baylor, Stanford, and Yale.

We highly encourage high school students to take advantage of this amazing opportunity. The deadline to submit applications to take part in our program is January 30th, 2022.
