Look at this riff monger! Mongering riffs in a way that makes the Epiphone sound almost as good as a Gibson. He has stood there for many years, my god he may have been there forever, while you’ve been in the office or down the mine or on Instagram making your living. As reliable as clockwork. Right hand jackhammering up and down like a Texas oil drill and sounding like freshly printed bills coming out of the amp. All beard, all joie de vivre, all sweat, all rock, all roll, all pick flicks, all licks, all flair, all truth, all dare. Today tis is birthday!!! We must all make celebratory gestures in his honor. While reviewing my archives I found the folder from 2017 when The Hives shredded the main stage at Malmöfestivalen. What. A. Show. I mean...the band was founded in 1993 and they still perform like young gods. Truly. Outstanding. Here's one of the few moments when Pelle was not jumping around or hovering above the floor. Aliens tried to tractor-beam him but his self-confidence and ego were too heavy to lift him up 🛸 More coming in the next days. Too good not to be shared.
