Come and join us this weekend . We’re hosting our annual open studio event with over 20 local potters and ceramic artists exhibiting and selling their work. 10am-4pm Sat and Sun, free entry and you might even meet the maker.
The studio is based at the lovely Byley. CW10 9NG. and on site so come and take a little trip out 🏺🪴☕️
I’m just beginning the adventure into crystalline glazes and after much reading and preparation I’m very excited and encouraged with my early results. It’s only taken a year’s study, an online course by the super cool plus a total refurb of my kiln 🤪 Really looking forward to delving more into this alchemy ❄️
Inspired by the cherry blossoms on bare branches I am delighted with how this alternative firing turned out. This one is horsehair raku created in our new outside firing area recently.
I’ll be adding this to my Etsy shop soon or DM me you’re interested. My work can be purchased directly by bank transfer and posted out or collected from the pottery studio in Byley
I have a bit of a love hate relationship with large plates. I love making something so functional and necessary for everyday life, but beautiful. I hate it when I remember how tricky they are! Right now I’m feeling more on the love side of the equation so all’s good. Big batts still going strong ❤️
