In the past the focus on wellbeing has been on the physical body yet our thoughts can have a huge impact on us. Just as negative thoughts and emotions can trigger the stress response within us and contribute to illness - we have the power to cultivate positive thoughts and emotions. By practising self love and mindfulness we can bring awareness to our thoughts and cultivate positive thoughts and emotions - all of which stimulate the parasympathetic nervous response and help the body to heal and function properly.

Very very excited to be working with Matthew Manning’s Healing Hub✨😁✨

A WARM WELCOME FOR TWO DYNAMIC YOUNGSTERS ON MY HEALING HUB

A few years ago I formed ‘Matthew Manning’s Healing Hub’, a cooperative of highly experienced and trained healers. For some people I was too far away for regular appointments with me and the Hub provided an opportunity to receive healing more locally from someone I recommended - and would go to myself if I ever needed help!

As I get older I’m thinking of the future as neither I nor many of the wonderful healers of my generation will be around forever. I’ve been watching, following and meeting a number of youngsters to whom the baton of healing can handed in the coming years.

Healing takes many different forms and will undoubtedly evolve and morph into new techniques in the coming decades but I’m really excited to introduce two new members to my Healing Hub: Charlotte Newman and Nuku Wondrausch. This evening I’ll tell you about Charlotte and tomorrow you will meet Nuku.

Charlotte has been practicing meditation and mindfulness for over five years and started a very professional YouTube channel, “TalkingCalm”, just over a year ago. She’s also planning a podcast series to help people find the healing journey that is right for them.

“I’m passionate about sharing and introducing people to mindfulness and meditation, and the power we have over our bodies and minds. I want to introduce people to their own ability to heal - physically, mentally and spiritually”, she says.

Currently in her final year of a degree at the University of Cambridge in Human, Social and Political Sciences, her dissertation is entitled “Can Meditation Practices Ever Be Political?” She’s exploring different variants of meditation, the intended/unintended consequences of the act of meditation, and addressing how we think of the ‘political’.

“I plan to complete a masters degree in the Philosophy of Religion, with my research thesis centred on Buddhist contemplative practices and whether there are aspects of reality that can only be experienced through the cessation of ‘self’ as an individual bounded entity”, she explains. “I would like to further explore what these experiences could mean for identity, the ‘self’ in relation to others, and what this could mean in the world when dealing with political conflict.”

I couldn’t have done that at Charlotte’s age and am extremely impressed! She will be posting on Matthew Manning’s Healing Hub page and sharing links with her videos.
