Business Expo is an event designed to showcase the innovative and creative ideas of the LUCT foundation year students, and to provide them with a platform to pitch their business initiatives. PROFESSIONAL DESIGN!

For this project our semester 1 illustration students in the Professional Design program went out and explored the neighborhood. The focus was on the places many don't notice - the back alleys and older buildings with texture and character rather than anything too modern or shiny. The urban environment is constantly changing, so in one way we wanted to document these places before they disappear, while also being able to admire the unique aesthetic. As you can see they did some outstanding work!

Our semester 5 students in Fashion Design & Business Innovation presenting their mid-term project.

In their final year at Limkokwing university, students in fashion start to include business and marketing perspectives on their projects. As future entrepreneurs of the apparel industry they need to frame their creativity and skills into a realistic business environment, taking in consideration their potential clients and competitors. They learn to create collections that are cost effective, appropriately priced, yet still unique and beautiful.

The semester 5 mid term project focuses on sustainability.
Students observe and analyze the negative impacts of their industry on climate and propose systemic solutions imbedded in their business models, such as “zero-waste pattern”, “Ecological fabrics”, “innovating in fabrics recycling”… etc.
Then they applied and tested their solutions, perfecting their creative and production process while never sacrificing aesthetics and trendiness for their specific target clients.
