Return to your first love church. Do you realize if Paul wrote to your church he would not start it off with to the first christian church or the baptist church or not your ordinary church. It would say to the church of fairfield. His letter would not be to registered non profit it would be to the body of believers here in fairfield as a whole. Why can we not understand it's not about ur building or your agenda of programs and plans . It's about brining people into the kingdom and discipling them . How do you do that when you don't even know the names of the people in ur so called church. The son of God gave a mission to us when he left and it's not changed. Go make disciples of all nations. baptising them in the name of the father son and holy spirit. Pastors are u making disciples or a membership list. Are you raising spiritual leaders or making CEO s. Are u worried about souls or a paycheck. Pastors are you called to be a pastor ,or was it just a good idea. Elders do you live up to the standard that the bible says. (There are very few) because men and women of that character and spiritual maturity don't grow on trees. That's y in the bible it said elders of the city not elders in your non profit business . The elders where over the whole church in that area.
Stop building man's idea of religion and church . And go back to your first love God. What do you see in the bible about the church. I see people taking care of each other forgiving each other. Preaching the Gospel boldly. Church's in homes not buildings.they didn't build more buildings when it got full they sent people off to start more.they didn't sit and listen to one man once a week . They did life together.multiple people spoke at meetings. Yes you had a pastor that led and taught and met spititual needs but he wasnt the pope position in a church . People brought songs that holy spirit had given them. And when there were issues and if they could not be resolved between individuals that's when elders came in. All prophecy had to be tested by the word they didnt follow blindly at least they were not supposed to. The new testament church was led by the holy spirit thru her leaders being obedient to it.church come back to your first love.
