Yes indeed it was a good night.

We got a good dose of Kizomba, urbankiz ( rare in most socials around here) , bachata and salsa.

A happy dancer is an encouraging dancer.

That was the experience yesterday. Smiling on dance floor is very infectious and bring more love and fun into the dance.

Kizomba is not just dance,,, its a way of life, a way to express yourself, a way of letting go and just be free...

And that is what I value and want to impact on my students.

Based on my experience, I have a small tip for you if you have a problem dancing to the beats of salsa songs.

These tips worked for me.

1. Count while dancing. 123 and 567 are the counts in salsa. Whether you are dancing alone at home or at social dances...either count out loud internally or mumble silently as you dance.

2. Listen to lots of salsa songs... By listening you get the rythm of the salsa songs and the beats.

3. I heard about musical instruments in the music that will help you and lead you to know when to step and at what count. I was taught didn't practice so I forgot

But am confident that the two above will help get you from point A to B in your dance.

This video gives more details about the private classes the I offer.

But on the out look

1. Type : Salsa, bachata, Kizomba and urbankizz

2. Time : 1 hr per session.

3. Place : At your place of choosing.

In the class we focus on a few things as mentioned in the video

- We focus on the main problem ( I.e your main problem could be you can't execute the moves correctly... then that's what we focus on.

- We focus on the syllabus,,, making sure you understand the fundamentals that will help you grow to the next level.

- we focus on improving the moves you have in your pocket through different variations.

- After you finish you level we have a small something to signify your graduation.

- We introduce you to the salsa scene. Talk about taking you out there to learn.

In short my focus is to make sure you come out an awesome dancer.

What is it about? It's about me sharing my truth and my journey an a dancer and a Kizomba and Urbankiz instructor.

I will be sharing all I have learnt, what am learning and what I plan to learn.

I believe in action over words so I will talk about what am doing as I do it.

This is personal to me but I know I will inspire one person to go after their passion and make it their work.

It's perfectly okay to be a total beginner and not know how to dance at all,,,,but its not okay to refuse to dance just because you can't dance...

We know,,,and the fact that you have told us you don't know how how to dance we are we more alert and will help...

Give yourself a chance!

Such was the case in this video yesterday but in the end we both enjoyed the dance.

Try even if you don't know.
