Who are the Council Members???

Grenada stands at a pivotal moment in its sporting history. Today marks the day when all government-owned sporting properties transition to the hands of the newly formed National Sports Council. This strategic move, poised to revolutionize sports development on the island, hinges on the promise of effective governance and transparency.

However, a glaring omission shadows this promising dawn: the absence of publicly known Council members. Since the legislation was gazetted last Friday, the Grenadian public has been kept in the dark about the individuals tasked with steering the helm of this vital institution.

As we embrace change, the questions loom large:

πŸ€” Who are the appointed stewards of our sporting legacy?

πŸ€” To whom do our athletes and organizers turn for permission to access the fields?

πŸ€” How can fines be levied without clear guidance on the approval process?

This opacity not only breeds uncertainty but also stalls the very progress it seeks to promote. It is counterintuitive to enact legislation without the proper apparatus to enforce it.

The government's silence on the matter is not just a lapse in administrative duties; it is a disservice to the passionate sporting community of Grenada. Our athletes, coaches, and enthusiasts deserve a framework that supports their ambitions, not one that cloaks its operations in mystery.

We call upon the Minister responsible for sports to rectify this oversight. It is imperative that the names of the National Sports Council members be published forthwith in the gazette as mandated by law.

The spirit of fair play that governs sports should equally govern its administration. Transparency is non-negotiable.

The Grenadian people eagerly await the unveiling of the council's composition. We urge the government to honor its commitment to sports development and to the democratic principles of accountability and public knowledge.

The time to act is now. πŸŒ΄βš½οΈπŸ€πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒ

All ah saying is "ah tat Doc. Keith din doing nuting in Grenada?"

This is transformation. It’s not painted in black and white. It’s not a one day job. When it started in 2020, it was heavily criticized then, today it is celebrated.
Real transformative projects take years to be realized. Just like the traffic lights, the Mt. Kuma road in recent times and the Cruise ship terminal, the Ministerial complex, the National Stadium and many others of the past. Thanks to the vision and hard work of team NNP, lead by Dr. Keith Mitchell , we can all celebrate this. It was done with Grenadians in mind so yes lets celebrate this achievement. It’s for Grenada πŸ‡¬πŸ‡©.

Togetherness

26/10/2023

Every October, we come together as a nation to celebrate and uplift our most precious assets – our children. They are the promise of a brighter tomorrow, the carriers of our heritage, and the visionaries of our nation's future.

This month, the New National Party calls upon every citizen to take a moment, not just to appreciate the laughter, innocence, and potential of our young ones but also to recognize our collective responsibility.

To care for, love, and protect them is to invest in the very heart and soul of Grenada. Let's pledge to ensure a safer, brighter, and more prosperous future for every child in our beautiful Spice Isle. 🌺

Happy Child Month!

Together for the children,
The New National Party of Grenada.

While I empathize with the teachers, students and parents of the St. Andrew's Anglican Primary School I think it's time you all put your foot down for a proper school to be built. YOUR SCHOOL DESERVES BETTER!

This govt is a 1 term govt. They care about no 1...

As the cost of living soars in , where is our government's focus?

Inflation bites, but the government seems more occupied with traveling around the world on trips that bear no fruit for our people. New positions emerge for insiders, while many of our citizens grapple with rising challenges daily. Beautifying roundabouts and planting flowers won't alleviate hardships.

It's time to prioritize the well-being of every Grenadian, from Carriacou to Petite Martinique. Actions speak louder than words. πŸ‡¬πŸ‡©

This story is so misleading. The only this changed is the NAME of the program. NNP started this program. Brigades are still building bathroom and toilets from people who were already signed up before the election.
