We enjoyed our lazy brunch looking out over the beach and perfectly calm ocean, and chatting about my new job and move to Sydney. The view really is something special, and is one of the things I miss most about Perth. Every time I see this view I look for Rottnest Island to see if it’s clear or not. Some days it’s a little hazy smudge in the distance, and other days you can see everything from the lighthouse, to each beach and the mounds of green vegetation where the dugites hide.

We tucked in to the Porterhouse steak and skinny duck fat chips, all of us sticking out forks into the sharing platter and having a taste for ourselves. The steak was perfect.

After the Pearl Barley we all went downstairs to the kitchen to see how the Josper Grill works. Rosie from A Little Lusciousness had a go at putting the steaks on and working out when they were the perfect medium rare.

Mum, Dad, and Chris all went for the pancakes with bacon, poached eggs, and maple syrup, while I went for the poached eggs and smashed avocado on toast with spinach, tomatoes, and balsamic. Mine was absolutely delicious, and the fam loved their pancakes – apparently they were beautifully light and fluffy!

This time though, the views were even more spectacular than Wild Fig – check them out!

Kongens Nytorv, Copenhagen’s largest public square, is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, Charlottenborg Palace, and Hotel d’Angleterre, the city’s most famous accommodations. This restaurant-turned-hotel, a 1755 neoclassical palace that was updated in the 1870s by Danish architect Jens Vilhelm Dahlerup—who also lent his savvy to the neighboring theater—remains an icon of evolving luxury. Dignitaries and celebrities have long flocked to Hotel D’Angleterre—and they show no sign of stopping. After all, this historic, palatial site has epitomized grandeur for more than 250 years.

After a three-year renovation, the former Austrian Hungarian Monarchy Bank headquarters located in Vienna’s Goldenes Quartier was transformed into the first Hyatt hotel in Austria. The 143 rooms are some of the largest in Vienna, and the location—within walking distance of St. Stephen’s Cathedral and surrounded by some of Vienna’s best shopping—makes this a luxury hotel that guests can certainly bank on.
