At Lettum Eat!, your income doesn't determine your access to a nutritious, chef-made meal.

Our Founder and CEO Chef Hank has decades of experience in the food industry, and he's proud to use his gifts to give back to those in need. That's the heart of Lettum Eat!.

As of 2022, the number of food-insecure people in Gwinnett County alone is enough to fill around six hockey rinks. That's a LOT of people.

It's why we need your help to feed more community members – to reduce this statistic as much as possible.

Since our start in 2019, Lettum Eat! has served over 330,000 meals to people throughout metro Atlanta – that's enough to give a meal to the entire population of Iceland! We're humbled to be a part of solving the food insecurity issue. 💚

What is something impactful you've observed about Lettum Eat!?
Courtney: "It doesn't take long to recognize that Hank doesn’t quit. He works hard and he truly cares about the people he serves. He knows he has a gift and he’s determined to make the most of it."

Tell me about the project you've been working on for Lettum Eat!.
Courtney: "We’ve been working on Hank’s concept for modular production kitchens (MPKs). They’re decommissioned school trailers that house commercial kitchens, and they’ll be installed in specific locations so that food assistance is closer to those who need it."

Hank mentioned that we’re getting close to a final rendering of the building for submission. What can you share about that?
Courtney: "We’ve worked through several iterations, and are getting ready to submit to the AHJ (Authorities Having Jurisdiction) soon!"

Thank you SO much to Made Architecture for the incredibly important role you're playing in moving our mission forward!

Not all heroes wear capes; some wear hardhats! 👷‍♂️ Made Architecture has been partnering with us to create the vision for our MPK projects, and we're so grateful to have their expertise on these unique projects.

Courtney Morrison, Founding Architect at Made Architecture, is originally from Savannah, Georgia and now lives with his wife and five-year-old daughter in Marietta. We recently chatted with him about his business and heart for these MPK projects.

____

Tell us about Made Architecture.
Courtney: "In July 2021, Made Architecture was born out of the idea that every site, project and client is unique, and deserves to be thought of as such – regardless of project type, budget or scale. We particularly love working with owners (both residential and commercial) and creating things unique to who they are, what they do and how they live. Our 'Why?' is summed up in our motto: 'Thoughtfully made spaces for thoughtfully made people.'"

How did you find out about Lettum Eat!?
Courtney: "A friend from college introduced me to Hank, and the rest is history!"

What interests you about Lettum Eat!’s mission, and what led you to get involved?
Courtney: "I met Hank and instantly knew I wanted to be a part of what he was doing. Despite doing completely different work for different people, I felt like our ethics were aligned: people are valuable, and they deserve to be treated as such."

We intended to open our first MPK this summer, but unforeseen restrictions have made this goal more of a challenge than we expected.

The good news? You can help us continue to prepare!

If you have an acre or more of land that you'd like to donate to our MPK projects, please don't hesitate – reach out now at [email protected]. Or to provide financial donations, give at lettumeat.com/donate.

Project progress 👷‍♂️ | Our MPK project renderings have gotten an update, and we're so excited to unveil them publicly for the first time!

We were hoping to break ground this summer, but until we're able to move forward, we're working hard and dreaming of serving up and enjoying meals at these MPKs.

Each of our fans, volunteers and donors is a huge part of making these plans into a reality. Thank you SO much for your support!
