You are the real deal mommy

Have you ever heard someone say "my baby is just using me as a pacifier"?

Or have you ever said it yourself?

Have you ever been shamed and told "your baby is using you as a pacifier"?

It is concerning, when parents are taught to see comforting their baby as a negative.

Human infants suck for a multitude of reasons.

🔆 Comfort
🔆 Falling asleep
🔆 Digestion
🔆 Lower heart rate
🔆 Stress relief
🔆 Hunger
🔆 Thirst

Sucking is literally a human infant reflex. A baby SHOULD suck on anything you put in their mouth.

If your baby is awake, it's always a good time to latch!

If you need help with finding comfort, I can help you!

If you need help latching in a carrier, I can help you!
(Because feeding in a carrier can be such a helpful act)

If you need help latching while lying down with your baby, I can help! (Feeding for nap time can mean extra sleep for you too!)

Fil or feedback inhibitor of lactation pumapasok sa mga milk ducts natin pag di natin napapasuso si baby sa oras na sya ay gutom, nagbigay Tayo ng top up ( other method of feeding ke baby aside from direct latch whether breast milk or formula).
The more lang mawawala din tiwala nilang makapagproduce for their babies.

A photo showing droplets of breast milk fending off armies of harmful bacteria in Petri dishes is going viral on Facebook.⁣
⁣
The photo, posted by a biology student in England, features nine Petri dishes completely colonized with the bacteria M. Luteus, except in the center, where tiny puddles of breast milk have created what looks like “moats” of protection around themselves.⁣
⁣
The student, Vicky Green, said she had similar results with Petri dishes full of e.Coli and the dreaded anti-biotic resistant “super bug” MRSA.⁣
⁣
⁣
“The white spots in the middle are discs soaked in two samples of breastmilk,” Green wrote in the caption of her post. “See the clear bit around the discs ― that’s where the proteins in the milk have inhibited the bacteria!”⁣
⁣
An article from YourPediatrician.com explains how this is possible:⁣
⁣
“About 80 percent of the cells in breast milk are macrophages, cells that kill bacteria, fungi and viruses. Breast-fed babies are protected, in varying degrees, from a number of illnesses, including pneumonia, botulism, bronchitis, staphylococcal infections, influenza, ear infections, and German measles. Furthermore, mothers produce antibodies to whatever disease is present in their environment, making their milk custom-designed to fight the diseases their babies are exposed to as well.”⁣
⁣
What’s even more impressive is that the samples of milk in the photos came from the mother of a 15-month-old and a 3-year-old, providing further evidence that breast milk continues to protect against illness long beyond infancy.

Hehe masyadong choosy si baby good thing so we tried cup feeding at spoon feeding. Di man perfect sa simula pero yung team effort I know they can do it.
It's not an easy journey mga nay ha pero salamat sa mga kapartner natin Mr. , Lola, tita o mga maritess na handang tumulong.
Tandaan wag mahihiyang magsabi.

Day 1 vs Day 3

TRUST THE PROCESS!!!
COLOSTRUM IS BREASTMILK!
Use a syringe to catch colostrum. Do not PUMP during Day 1. You cannot fill 1 storage bottle during day 1.
Hand express is way better than pumping during day 1.

So trust the process keep latching and keep constant stimulation during the 1st day after giving birth.

Ask for help from lactation experts if you are experiencing challenges in your breastfeeding journey.

Skin to skin contact great help

Low birth weight

BREASTFEEDING and SLOW WEIGHT GAIN

❎ Pain or Discomfort

❎ Low or Delayed Breast Milk Supply

🔾 Premature or Near Term

Pain while breastfeeding? đŸ€±đŸ˜Ł

While breastfeeding can be uncomfortable at times, it should never be painful.

Here are some tips to help ease pain.

💖 Check baby's latch
💖 Massage breasts with breast milk
💖 Nurse more often but shorter periods
💖 Consider ni**le shields
💖 Use ice packs for engorged breasts while feeding
💖 Start nursing on the side that is less sore
💖 Massage sore area before nursing
💖 Switch up your position!
💖 Pump for 2-3 days to allow a break from breastfeeding
💖 Use heat right before feeding

And of course, if these don't work, please consult in your lactation consultant!

Did you have pain while breastfeeding?

What helped you?
