Everyone has experienced heart break in life, some more than others. Although the period of heart break is very tough, but it teaches us a lesson that we couldn’t have learnt unless we experienced it ourselves.

At times we get so much attached to people that we even ignore their harsh behaviour. We get so much blindfolded that even though we see that they are not a perfect match, we still keep going with them. But life knows what’s best for us and sometimes those relationships are only short lived.

When we are heart broken, we cry, become sad or feel broken but then we also learn to heal our own way. We accept that things happen, people leave and life is not always smooth. We see a reason in every happening and mishappening. Every heart break leave us with a forgiving and self healing power. Once we learn to heal ourselves, no pain feels deep enough to wound us beyond repair.

Today is a day just like any other, except for one difference.
I’m making a choice.
I’m tired of standing still, I’m tired of complaining about my life and not doing anything about it.
I’ve been stuck in this place for so long- just surviving my days- that I don’t know if I can even find my way out.
But I have to try.
I can’t accept being unhappy and miserable in my life anymore, so today, I’ve decided to start doing instead of just talking.
I’m stepping out of my comfort zone, the place where I just go through the motions and I’m stepping up my game.
You know what?
I’m absolutely terrified.
I’m scared of change, of failing, of not knowing where I’m going or what I’m doing.
Most of all,
I’m scared of losing my way and never finding my way back.
I know it’s going to hurt, and I don’t know how I’ll keep pushing forward..
But I have to.
I want to be happy again.
I deserve to be happy.
I’ve let others dictate who I am and what makes me happy for far too long, so I’m starting now..
I’m taking back my voice and setting boundaries.
I’m taking back my standards and I’m setting the bar to what I’m okay with.
I’m taking back my life and setting a new path.
I’m done looking over my shoulder, carrying the burden of past pain and mistakes and letting it weigh me down.
I’m raising my standards, my head and my hopes to a new level and I won’t accept anything less than what I’m worth...
Because I’m worth it, I’m more than enough and I got this.
I know I’m going to be scared with every step and unsure where to go next..but that’s just part of growth.
My voice may tremble as I make myself heard, but I’m starting to make my way.
The uncertainty, the doubt, the worries have shackled me all my life and I can’t live that way any more.
I won’t live that way anymore.
Maybe I don’t make big strides immediately, it’ll take me some time to figure out what I’m doing..
But that’s okay.
Life is about the journey, not the destination.
I’m done looking at the road signs to where I’ve been and I’m looking ahead for where I’m going.
So, yes, today is a day like any other, but it’s also a day like no other.
I chose today to change my life, my mindset and my future..
Starting now.
With me.
I’m scared, but I got this.
Take my hand, let’s rise up and start our journey to a better place..
One where dreams come true and happiness is real.
