Brap’n Ball Racing
Third year road racer trying to get more podiums. Racing in the Middle Weight Super-sport class.
So a little thing happened today, grass and slicks do not work. Ran out of talent!
Second Race MW Amateur
Kept it upright and have a lot of ground to gain with this bike. In the 2:20s and slow. Taking a lot of video to get the speed and body position right. out of two races we had a restart due to a thre bike crash. Can get a bit tight with the 400 that are on the track, they can carry a lot of corner speed. I will post some videos this week once I can review them. Corner speed is I need to work on.
Here at the ridge this weekend for Racin’ the blue bike has a fuel issue so I am on The Excorcist. New bike damp track and slicks. Hopefully it will completely dry out by qual. I’ll get some videos of me being on the track this week.
3rd round for racing this year!! Our 1st and it’s going to be great. Let’s do this kids. Have a blast out there.
Guess I need a new clutch, the clutch gave out on the Dyno and I had a misfire in a cylinder. Going over the bike one more time and replacing the clutch.
My ride this year. #76
New decal for the scooter!
Awesome race season! Thank you everyone for the support. I received some unexpected goodies this year. #1 For Middle Weight Amateur plus a graduation certificate to expert. Now to get more consistent.
After crash review of comet racing leathers.
Some pictures of the gloves and leathers. The gloves took the brunt of the very fast low side. Karl need new gloves. Ordering a new suit for race season 2023. Stay tuned for new colors!!
What cha all think? New digits
No Racing this weekend but I do get a close up on the action with a wonderful view of the pits!!
Back In the saddle today. Riding the exorcist!
Pretty Sight
Then there were two!!! Patrick and I braved the traffic to travel to the other side of the water to pick up another race bike. “The Exorcist” will be hitting the track possibly at the last round this season but definitely next season. He needs a bike barn!!!!
The beast is back together and running. Fresh fluids and a straight radiator. She is ready to battle and hopefully stay on her feet. Slapping on some fresh numbers and if anyone has stickers they want me to sport, mail em to me!
Give you all an update on my knee, and leg. The bruising goes all the way to my ankle. Broken or torn from the X-rays and exam. I have full mobility of my knee just hurts when I put weight on it. I am walking with a crutch. it is getting better day by day in which I can put more weight on it. Today I can walk with a limp and have a bit of pain while walking unassisted. I will take pics of the bike tonight and post them. This should be a testament on the importance of wearing good gear. I went down in a turn going pretty fast. I spun the back tire and the bike slammed down on my leg and tossed me off. The bike slid into a tire wall and slid and hit the wall as well. Besides a bit of bruising and broken plastics on my bike. I am fine. Along with the bike pics I will share my gear pics.
Cheers!
Morning practice was awesome. 1:46 was my fasted two laps. Going out to my race on my warm up I tucked the front. Not sure if I hit a green part of the track or a rolled the fire to quickly. Bike slid into the tire wall with me. I am ok but my left knee got smacked by the bike as it came down. One of the riders behind me told me he might have gotten it on his video. I will post if I can get my hands on it.
Thankfully my daughter thought it was funny to see me getting a ride from the crashtruck.
Awesome weekend so far. Two races with a podium on one of them. My PR here at Pacific is now 1:47 for a 2.25 mile track. A few areas I can improve like deeper braking and holding throttle longer. Tomorrow is a new day and let’s see where it takes us.
More pictures to come.
Race weekend with our new set up!!!! Makes loading and unloading the bike and everything so much easier. Race friends make it fun too. Dave and Beth had a great idea of facing the trailers together so we have a party pit!!! Thank you at Clear Creek RV Center for hooking us up and the amazing customer service. You all jumped when we asked you to jump and you said how high!!! Above and beyond thank you thank you. Let’s have some fun and keep it upright friends.
PR today 2:20 fastest lap! and I passed a bike with 30 more Horsepower than me.
Patrick Ball in his new leathers from Comet Racing Leathers!!! I missed both his races unfortunately, darn kids, he didn’t podium this time but he had a good time and finished upright which is most important. 1 more race tomorrow. Time for food and rest!!
Good morning friends, it’s race day!!! It looks like we may actually have a dry race. Not changing tires yet though. Track is still wet but it’ll dry out by the time race starts. We’ll be changing to slicks. Keeping the rains on for now. Send Patrick some good safe vibes and all the riders!!! Have a great day all.
Let’s go racing!!!!
A few pics from my second race Sunday.
Racing on the brain!!! Almost halfway through the week. We’ll make it!!
