Jill Cooper for PA State House
Jill Cooper is running for State Representative in Pennsylvania's new 55th House District.
Today, and always, we are thankful to be Americans, and to live free in the greatest nation on earth. From my family to yours, Happy Thanksgiving!
Not only today, but every day, we salute America’s bravest men and women for sacrificing everything in the name of freedom. Thank you for your service!
I am proud to support this exceptionally qualified team, and encourage all citizens of the 55th District and voters across Pennsylvania to for our Republican Team.
It's in Pennsylvania!
Just a reminder…
Wishing your family a fun, safe, and Happy Halloween 2023!
Research shows that adolescents who do not regularly get 8-10 hours of sleep per night are not only at risk of numerous physical and mental health problems, but also decreased academic performance.
Pennsylvania students deserve every opportunity to excel in their education, and it’s on us to ensure that unreasonably early school start times do not hinder their ability to learn and succeed.
That’s why I will soon introduce legislation that requires public secondary schools to begin their school day no earlier than 8:15am.

I wholeheartedly support Israel and its right to exist as a nation. I stand with Israel in its pursuit of peace, security, and prosperity for all its citizens.
May the power of love, understanding, and compassion prevail over hatred and violence. Let us join hands and pray for a peaceful future for Israel and its people.

We will hold the memory of those lost on 9/11 in our hearts forever. 🇺🇸
Today, we salute the workers of our commonwealth and our country.
It really is as simple as that.
When Harrisburg can't get its act together and approve a budget by the start of the new fiscal year on July 1, no member of the General Assembly should be taking a paycheck.
I, for one, refuse to do so until we get the job done.
That's why I will soon introduce new legislation to hold ALL elected officials (including the Governor and Lt. Governor) accountable by suspending their compensation during any future budget impasse.
It's time we remind those in power, from the Legislature to the Governor's Office, why voters sent us here by ensuring that taxpayer dollars aren't funding their pay when our most basic duties remain unfulfilled.
I had a wonderful time at the Westmoreland County Republican Committee District 10 picnic, with old friends and new!
Thank you for all of the great work you do!
NO BUDGET. NO PAY.
"Responsible budgeting is Government 101. Pennsylvanians deserve better than an inexcusable process that hurts our most vulnerable populations, while legislators continue to be fully compensated.”
Earlier this week, I introduced legislation that would suspend pay to Harrisburg's elected officials if we fail to meet our annual budget deadline.
12 lawmakers say they won’t take pay until Pa. has a state budget As Pennsylvania approaches its second month without a finalized budget, it has led to a dozen lawmakers willing to share the pain of agencies that rely on state dollars to operate.
I was honored to present Joyce Spillers, Oklahoma Borough’s Tax Collector since 1978, with a citation commemorating 45 years of exemplary public service this week.
Congratulations, Joyce, and thank you for your longstanding dedication to your community!
Oklahoma Borough tax collector honored for 45 years of service A somewhat reluctant recipient was honored Monday for her tireless dedication and service to her community. Joyce Spillers of Oklahoma Borough was recognized at the monthly council meeting with a few surprises to honor her 45 years serving as the borough’s tax collector. “I didn’t....
One of my favorite things about Murrysville is driving down Rte. 22 and seeing 340 American flags waving at me on Fourth of July weekend!
Flags Over Murrysville: Route 22 lined with hundreds of US flags Drivers are greeted by more than 300 flags as they travel through the community. It's a holiday tradition that dates back decades.
Wishing you and yours a blessed 4th of July as America marks 247 years of independence!
Happy Father's Day to all the amazing dads out there! Today is the day to celebrate and appreciate you! Our family is blessed to have Leighton, our rock. ❤️ You are loved and appreciated more than you know.

Great night celebrating DA Nicole Ziccerelli at the Grandeur Estate in Greensburg.
In honor of our flag and our freedoms: Happy Flag Day!
Three “Grovers” out and about Harrisburg supporting Judge Smail for Superior Court!
What an honor it was to participate in this year's Memorial Day parade in Lower Burrell!
May we never forget to honor America's fallen heroes today and everyday, and remember that, without their bravery and sacrifice, our nation would cease to be free.
I had a great time at last evening’s kickoff reception in support of Westmoreland County’s own Judge Harry Smail, Jr for Pennsylvania Superior Court!
We need strong, reliable jurists who will respect and uphold our Constitution, and Judge Smail has proven time and again that he is the man for the job. I am proud to support him and encourage you to do the same!
Wishing a blessed Mother's Day to all of the loving, wise, and strong moms out there!
I had a great time attending this year’s Reagan Dinner — my first as the 55th District’s State Representative — hosted by the Westmoreland County Republican Committee.
Had a great time at the Allegheny County Lincoln Dinner. Wonderful to see Jim Roddey honored. He is 90 and as sharp as a tack! 🇺🇸
Happy Easter, from my family to yours!

On this Martin Luther King Jr. day let us remember Rev. Dr. King’s heroic actions and his unifying words.

I feel an overwhelming sense of humility after being sworn-in to serve to serve the constituents of the 55th Legislative District. The residents in the 55th District placed a huge responsibility and trust in me to represent their values and work hard on their behalf, and that is exactly what I am going to do, whether it is here in the capitol or at home in the district.
Since taking office on Jan 3, I will be transitioning from this campaign page to my legislative page RepJillCooper. Please follow me there. Thank you!
Please join us today to watch my swearing-in ceremony 🇺🇸 https://repjillcooper.com/livestreams
