We're back in our respective homes now after a fantastic weekend long mini-tour with our good friends in The Drowning (🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿) and Denali (🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿). If you attended any of the dates you will have seen the first, second and third shows of Opia's existence. We look forward to the next and hope you do too.

Huge thanks must be given first and foremost to Sam Heffernan (The Drowning, Agrona) for pulling double duty by drumming for us on all 3 dates.

Thanks also must go to Chris at 12AX7 Promotions in Cardiff and Alan at Retribution Alive - London Metal Nights in Camden. Our engineers and venue staff at the Underground, Fuel and the Dev.

The most sincere and heartfelt appreciation to our good friends and tour partners in The Drowning, one of the absolute finest melodic death doom acts the UK has ever produced. A genuine pleasure and an honour to support you on this run. By the same token, huge thanks must also go to our other friends in Denali with whom it was a genuine pleasure to spend this weekend also.

We'll be back to the stage in 2024 but for now we set out to work on our upcoming debut album.

London tonight!

We play the UK capital today on the final date of our mini-tour with THE DROWNING (🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿) and DENALI (🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿). We play on this very special festival to commemorate the 10 year anniversary of 'Retribution Alive', join us at 'Ten Years of Misery' tonight. We hit the stage tonight at 19.35.

Our first time in the Welsh capital and our second ever live show. This will also be a hometown show for some of our members and also for our friends in THE DROWNING (🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿). We look forward to playing Fuel alongside both THE DROWNING (🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿) and DENALI (🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿).

We're thrilled to be joining our good friends in THE DROWNING (🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿) and DENALI (🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿) on this run across the Southern half of the United Kingdom.

Pleased to announce that the incredibly talented Sam Heffernan will be playing drums for us on our upcoming run of UK shows in November. Sam is a staple of the Cardiff metal scene and previously played with both Tereza and Phoenix during their time in Agrona (🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿).

In addition to Agrona, you may also recognise him from his current and previous projects SWH - Music (🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿), Cranial Separation (🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿) and Levitas (🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿).

Most notably however he is also the current live drummer for The Drowning (🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿) and will be doing double duty with both bands on our November tour together.

The full line up for Retribution Alive's '10 Years of Misery' has been released! Catch us on the final date of our upcoming tour with THE DROWNING (🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿) and DENALI (🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿) at The Dev in Camden. This will be our first time performing in London.

Entry to this event is completely free.

Our second show will see us perform at Fuel Rock Club in the city of Cardiff (🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿). Where once again we will support our good friends in The Drowning (🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿) and Denali (🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿). All of Opia's rehearsals take place in Cardiff and several of our members are native to South Wales so this will also represent something of a hometown show for us. This event is run by the fantastic team at 12AX7 Promotions.

We're very pleased to be hitting the road in the Southern United Kingdom this November in support of our good friends in The Drowning (🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿). As one of the leading melodic death doom bands in the country it's a true pleasure to join them on this run of dates alongside the supremely talented Denali (🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿).
