Welcome, Shoals Chamber Singers! We are excited to host you this week!

Water is the abiding resource for human existence. But beyond sustenance, from time immemorial, water has also inspired us.
Join us as we share a collection of such inspirations during the centennial of the legendary Wilson Dam, which sits astride the immortal Singing River.

Jalen Kirkman named American Pop Orchestra top male vocalist A former Florence High School student, Jalen Kirkman, has found his way into the spotlight as a musical theater student at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Eric Kirkman as our new conductor!

While currently serving as Director of Kilby Labratory School, Dr. Kirkman also brings with him an impressive musical resume. He has served as the director of Ascending Voices Gospel Choir, band director of Sheffield High School's "Sound of the Shoals" Marching Band, and is the current worship leader at Highland Baptist Church, Broadway Campus, in Florence.

Dr. Kirkman's experience, heart, and love for the community aligns perfectly with the mission of Shoals Chamber Singers.

Due to the threat of inclement weather, we have made the decision to postpone tonight's concert until Monday, December 5th. Time and location are the same. We hope to see you there!

We all want to thank you for coming out this evening for our dessert and coffee concert!! We love our community! Thank you for your support!!

We are excited to formally announce that we are going to Europe in 2019!! London and Paris to be specific. We will enjoy 8 days in some of the most beautiful land on Earth, and we want you to come with us!

Now, we know that you will have questions. On Sunday, September 17, at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church, we will have the answers! Our Encore Tours manager is coming down from Boston to meet and greet and present our tour to all interested, There will be PLENTY of time to ask questions and have them answered!

We will also be announcing a three day, all expenses paid, trip to (location to be revealed later) in 2019 as a fundraiser to help us get to Europe! Maybe you will get to take that trip!

So, please join us on Sunday, September 17 at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church in Florence. It is open to the community. If you want to come as a non-singer, please do! If you want to come and sing in some of the most beautiful locations in London and Paris, come along! Now's the time to do some traveling!

We are pleased to announce that your very own Shoals Chamber Singers are going to England and France in the summer of 2019! We would love for you to join us - either as a singer, or a non-singer. This will be an 8-day tour with concerts in London and Paris, including the world famous cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris! Departure is far enough in advance to make this an affordable trip. There is a commitment deadline, however, that includes a deposit. We will need to know if you plan to join us and have your down payment by October 1, 2017.

Also, if this season is too busy for you to join us, we completely understand. Just keep up with the payments and join us for the fall and spring of our 2018-2019 season. Come and sing with us among the world's most wonderful spaces! If you would like more information, please email our conductor, Nick Murphy, at [email protected].
