[Vendor Spotlight] "Hey there! I’m J’lise and my business is charmsNbeadz. I sell bracelets, necklaces, and keychains with some other things too! I was excited that I got picked for the Lubbock Childrens Fair so I could meet all of y’all! And share what I love to do. Making jewelry shows that it’s a fun and creative activity for kids to do!
I started my business a year ago and it's been an amazing calm experience.
I chose this name because I add charmz to my jewelry."

[Vendor Spotlight] "Hi! My name is Jemma and I am the owner and chief curator of The Surprise Bookshelf. My brother, Max, is 11 and often assists as my extraordinary salesman. Together we have worked at eight events over the last year. Kidpreneur is our favorite though and we can’t wait for you to stop by The Surprise Bookshelf!

But what is The Surprise Bookshelf? I’m glad you asked!

The Surprise Bookshelf offers gently loved stories ready for a new adventure. Each book is wrapped so when you make a purchase you truly get a surprise! Don’t worry though, there are “hints” (like reading level, genre, time period, themes, etc.) written on the wrapping paper to help you choose a book you will truly love. Our little bookshop also sells bookmarks, stickers, greeting cards, plants, and more!"

[Vendor Spotlight] "My name is Kiley and my business is Kiley's Kreations. I sell all things art! My favorite thing to make & sell is stickers! I also sell jewelry, scrunchies, & tshirt bags. This is my 3rd year to participate in Kidpreneur. I always have a lot of fun and learn a lot. Come out and see me and shop Kiley's Kreations!"

[Vendor Spotlight] "Hi! My name is Katelyn, I am the owner of Kitten’s Yarn! I sell keychains, stickers, buttons, prints and more! I created the designs for everything I sell myself, I draw in a cute (Family Friendly) anime style!

My family and I are a bunch of geeks so I’ve grown up playing video games since I was small. As I got older a friend of mine introduced me to anime, it started with Pokemon and spiraled from there! I was drawn to the extreme and comical facial expressions you quite frequently see in anime. As I got going I decided I wanted to draw in an anime style, but family friendly because there are plenty of anime out there that are appropriate for all ages, it can be hard to find them. I am currently working on writing my own stories that I want to publish in a graphic novel style.

My parents say I have been drawing for years but I really remember trying to learn and grow when I was 8 or 9. I have been running my business for right at a year now. My first time selling my products was last year at Kidpreneur, since then I have started an online shop and I even got to sell at first AnimeCon a couple months ago!

Now some of y’all might be wondering why I chose the name Kitten’s Yarn for my business because It has nothing to do with kittens or yarn. The reason why I chose this name is: for years my nickname from my close family and friends has been “Kat” (and I love cats!) and because I like to do a little bit of everything… To the point sometimes my thoughts and ideas get all tangled up like a ball of yarn!

I’m super excited to get to sell at Kidpreneur again and to see all the other vendors! I hope to do even better than last year!"

[Vendor Spotlight] "Farm Kid Activity Books by Hollis and Lucy: Farm Kid Activity Books was named because our dad is a farmer. We came up with the idea because we ride the tractor with our dad and we wanted something to do. We created a farm-themed activity book with 20 activities. Our book is special because it was made by farm kids. This is our first time making a book. We are excited about the fair because it’s our first time to have a business."

[Vendor Spotlight] "Hi, I’m Emma Robertson! My business is Silver Fox Creations! I am selling plants, candy wreaths, pumpkin decorations and more! My passions are art, crafts, and plants! I have always enjoyed being creative and finding ways to express it; this entrepreneur day does just that! I also enjoy trying to find and create new crafts to see if it’s something I like. I am also really obsessed with plants. My family will probably tell you that I’m a hoarder when it comes to plants. I always loved going plant shopping with both of my grandmas. They showed me how to propagate plants and I’ve been propagating ever since! This began my obsession with propagating any plants I could find. Now I have propagation stations all over our house, so I always have some sort of project in the making. If you love plants or some seasonal decorations, please stop by my booth!"

[Vendor Spotlight] "Let's Get Crafty by Ginny: I make a lot of different types of crafty decorations/decor. Most of my items are made with yarn, some of those include: yarn dolls & homemade pompom animals. I also make pipe cleaner animals. I enjoy crafting and make everything myself!!! I am self taught, and take ideas that I have seen to make them my own.

I started using yarn because I got a lot of hand-me-down yarn from my grandmother a year or 2 ago, and I wanted a reason to use it.

I've been crafting for years, but I started making things with yarn and wanting to sell them 1 year ago.

I am excited for the Lubbock Children's Business Fair because I like having the opportunity to sell my items and have a reason to make a lot of things! I am also excited to see all the other vendors ideas!"

[Vendor Spotlight] "Hi! My name is Eli. I am 6 years old and my business is called Eli the Artist! I do these drawings with Sharpies for other people. I have princesses, animals, superheroes, and Disney. You get to choose which character you want!"

[Vendor Spotlight] "My name is Reid Rainier Bossio - some people call me RRB. I collect currency. That is money like coins and paper notes. For my business, Reid’s Rare Coins, I will be selling mystery bags of coins from around the world. What rare coin will you get in your mystery bag? I will also have a few notes from countries like Malaysia, Mexico, Ukraine, and more!"

[Vendor Spotlight] "My name is Norah and my business is Norah’s Magical Merchandise. I am in third grade and this is my second year at the business fair. I love reading, Pokémon, cheetahs, magical beings and Harry Potter. I am selling wands and chocolate frogs. The reason I chose this is because one of my top most favorite books is Harry Potter. The things I am selling are inspired by Harry Potter. I think other kids would like wands and chocolate frogs because people like chocolate, fairies, magic and Harry Potter. I am excited about the business fair to make friends and sell my merchandise."

Hello there! I felt it was time to officially introduce myself. I’m Katy, the mom and entrepreneur behind Kidpreneur Lubbock. Like so many of you out there, I wear a lot of hats in my day-to-day life, so you might already know me. I was born and raised in Lubbock and am a two-time graduate of Texas Tech University – Go Red Raiders!

My own three kids are the reason why I started Kidpreneur Lubbock and the Lubbock Children’s Business Fair. I had seen the concept being done in another location, and just *knew* that the kids of Lubbock needed this opportunity. We launched our first fair in February of 2020 and this November we will be hosting our 4th event!

The mission of Kidpreneur Lubbock is to support youth entrepreneurship and we achieve that by hosting the annual Lubbock Children’s Business Fair – a unique marketplace where all the businesses are run by area youth ages 6-18. I’m a little biased, but I think it is fabulous! Our participation has more than tripled since our first event, and I have big plans for our future.

[Vendor Spotlight] "Hi! My name is Katelyn, and my business is Kitten’s Yarn! I sell my original art as prints, stickers, and buttons ect. I’ve also recently decided to sell coloring books as well! My art is an anime style that’s cute and family friendly! My parents say I’ve been drawing since I was about 3 but I remember starting to focus on my art when I was 8. I became attached to the anime style because I was drawn to the facial expressions and emotions. It’s been a long time coming… But! I finally got my business started in March, along with my social media where I post my art! I’m excited for Kidpreneur because it will be my first event to go and sell my products at in person! (I eventually want to do a Con event so it’s good experience!)

The reason why my business name is Kitten’s Yarn is because my nickname has always been Kat and I like to do a little bit of everything just like unraveling a ball of yarn! Plus I love cats! Right now I mainly have my prints and stickers. But I hope to have a bigger selection of products and a comic book as well some day (hopefully in the near future!)"

[Vendor Spotlight] "Our business is Reid & Norah’s Wand Shop and our names are Reid and Norah. We are both in second grade, and we are a team because we have been friends forever.
