A couple weeks passed— and we’ve lost Rocco. 💔🌈🕊️

This boy was not only a big ole lover, he was a fighter, for his life. He showed so much strength and courage. Oh, how we could learn the love and resilience of dogs.

I haven’t been very active on here and it’s because I lost Rocco and three other clients in ONE week. They don’t warn you about this part of animal care. The hurt you feel for someone else’s animal is a whole different kind of hurt. Knowing you can do nothing to take that pain away, while carrying your own kind of pain. 💔

Getting ready to walk your pets? Animal Control Officer, Ken Tuttle, tested temperatures, so you don't have to! Here are some reminders to keep in mind:

🐾 Walk your dog during cooler times: Schedule walks during the early morning or late evening when it's cooler. This reduces the risk of your dog's paws getting burned by hot pavement.

🐾 Shorten the walks: If the pavement is hot, keep your walks shorter to minimize the time your dog spends on hot surfaces. Consider engaging in other activities indoors or finding alternative ways to exercise them.

🐾 Watch for signs of discomfort: Pay attention to your dog's behavior while walking. If they start limping, lifting their paws, or showing signs of distress, it's a sign that the pavement is too hot. Immediately find a cooler area, check their paws for any injuries, and get them to the vet if needed.

Remember, if it's too hot for your bare feet it's too hot for theirs!

This old man is diabetic and blind and he drags my butt into the wooded area of his moms property!!! He hikes on in like, “there’s no twig in my eye, let’s go lady!”

These are all seperate days- these two have only ONE pose. 😂

Miss Cootie was NOT happy about going to the dogtor today, but I showed her the beautiful painting that they had of HER hanging in the room they put us in! She wasn’t convinced one bit. 😹

She has to go under to get shaved, so send her all the good vibes today! We don’t need her biting anyone 🤣

We’re getting closer and closer to the boombooms! I’m hearing them more everyday.

Please, please have:
-microchips updated with current contact info.
-name tags with updated contact info
-collars that will not fall off
-breakaway collars NOT BUCKLE COLLARS!! (In case they get caught up. They could choke)
-take dogs out ON LEAD!!! Even if you have a fenced yard, most dogs can clear a regular chain link without hesitation.
-speak with your vet if your dog spooks easily. See if CBD oil or any medications are available to help pups through this difficult time!
-thunder vests/or ace bandage wraps to help console pups and helping them feel some pressure (like weighted blankets for hoomans!)

I don’t think I have EVER met such a cohesive bunch of animals. These babies are so well loved and most importantly— they love one another! And they’re all SO friendly!! Like I had NO room in the giant bed because all the animals wanted to be near.

Cricket the bird is still learning to love me. His mom says he’s picky with who he loves so I’ll just patiently wait for my day 😂

I have lots of new ‘likes’ and ‘follows’ so I’d love to reintroduce myself! Hi, I’m Tabby, like the cat! My parnter and I were born and raised in KCMO. We love the area and we love to explore new things outside of our little city. I started working with animals about 10 years ago in rescue and it’s snowballed into pet care, training and walkies! As things got busier, I quit working for others and have been running my tiny business since 2021. I’ve even had to bring my partner on to work for me. Some days, I think he loves the dogs more than me 😅

To say that I love what I do is an understatement, I have more passion for what I do than most people have their whole lives. I go above and beyond for every pet, plant and person I come in contact with.

So whatever your needs may be, let us know!!

Fourth of July will be here sooner than you think!!
Here are some things to remember!
-Make sure they are secured, latch all doors!
-Create a comfortable hiding place for them to stay in
-Get your pet microchipped/make sure it’s updated
-Keep collar on with up to date name/phone numbers
-If they are outside, keep them on a leash at ALL times. Boom booms are random!
-Check with you vet to see if medications are an option, or go the natural route (the one I always suggest first) CBD oil is a wonderful alternative to narcotics!

And don’t forget- we are booking up quickly for the summer. If you need us— book now or furever hold your own leash. 😂🤣 at least until I have openings hehehe

Little Rayne gets soooo dirty when she comes over to play with Zuko, I always have to give her a go home bath. Or her pawrents would think it’s the wrong dog 😂

House sitting means taking care of the whole property!
Including the lil creeks, bees and flowers. When you book with us you won’t ever have to worry. I truly try to go above and beyond always. 🫶

If you have a dog, I 100% recommend getting a breed specific book. No, not all of it is completely accurate. But this taught me so much about Zuko and why he’s so much more different than Nora! 🫶

(The note about Aussies and kids goes for ALL dogs in my professional opinion.)

We were busy this weekend! Thank you to everyone who booked us and are keeping my lil business going. I had to TURN BUSINESS AWAY for the first time ever. So grateful! 🥺

This time last month I was considering quitting and going back to work for someone else. 😂
